A question for the TW Staff

Still though. Only admitting to a single community suggestion that isnt even a suggestion but the most necessary mod that came out day one of ea. Sorry if this sounds harsh but that is pathetic coming from taleworlds, a real slap in the face to all the people that spend a lot of their time trying to contribute to this game with suggestions through the forums. In my opinion its unacceptable 4 months in to an ea to get that kind of response from the cm when it would not be a big deal whatsoever to admit to 1 or 2 QOL changes a dozen people beg for every day. Maybe it's just me...
Its not about admitting, its about not making people exspect something that they then might change later because they prefered something else. You have no idea how many things they read of the forums or dont or what they plan to add to the game, theres some very toxic people on here who would rant and spred false information, no matter what Taleworlds end up doing, i cant see why they should give those people more ammo if they end up changing something or overpromising something. Also theres alot of bad very time consuming suggestions on the forum that would not fit the game at all. They cant make everyone happe, let mods do that.

Tbh if I put myself in callum's place.... people tend to overhype about everything related with mount and blade. I would be really scared talking about future.

Im just happy watching how some devs work REALLY hard everyday and work hand to hand with community, read forum every days end even ask for suggestions. On the other hand, Is kinda sad watching how TW refuse awesome devs suggestions but... that's other problem.

I am happy atm, ofc bannerlord is not even close to be the game we deserve, but is still EA, I trust devs because I know they are working more than they must, and I hope they can release a really wonderfull game in the future, atleast much better than warband.

Ofc we will have tons of awesome mods aswell, and maybe much better than vanilla, but that is normal, right? That happen with every moddable games.

I just want to... encourage devs and talesworld workers in general, becouse they want this game to be incredible as we want, maybe we differ sometimes but... critize everydays doesn't help. Just keep suggesting, talking with devs, say aswell positive things... because behing talesworld, there are persons like you and me, and love to see nice things aswell.

Trust me, single player devs read close to all the forum, they work hard, and they love the game. You can check it by yourself stalking a little.

I've heard that answer a few too many times tim and just because tw has a track record for not being able to deliver on promises doesnt mean they need to keep secrets this way. Devs like mexxico and azhik at least try to be open and on our side saying things like "that's a good idea we'll try to talk about it and put it in"

I know Callum has the potential for replies like that too but every time he chimes in it feels like dad telling us kids we're going to Disney world when mom already spilled the beans that we're going to the dentist

I wont say they have a big record of broken promises unless you count late dev blogs, if you do that, then i think you need to chill a bit and let people be people. Like look at No Mans Sky or Fallout 76, those had broken promises and lies. Bannerlord is still in ea and they never lied about what would be in it.

I don't think they lie to us. Everything they do I take in good faith just like I hope everyone else does. They are just a bunch of people doing the best job they can.

Idk how you can say they dont have that track record after the last 8 years of expectations for this game. Even if it was only how many release dates they had that were so incredibly far off, Shouldnt that be enough evidence for anyone that TW has a hard time sticking to their word even if they want to. This doesn't mean they should take out their shortcomings on the community by keeping us in the dark until there is 100% chance that something will work out, half the time they do this there is even more backlash because the people who repeatedly make suggestions feel like they didnt even have input on the subject and it comes across like high ups in the dev team make unilateral decisions that the devs we talk to dont even get a voice in.

I cant remember there being several release dates put out, any proof of that?, i can only remember one estimate from one guy in an interview, about 2017, who said he thought it would be a year, which did a whole lot of damage, think it might even have gotten him fired, not sure though, but cant remember any other release date estimates other than that one and i dont think i missed even one dev blog. I do remember them saying in about 2014 that the game would be delayed because they had started over, because they scrapped the old engine they were working in and made their own, to make the game far more modable.

I'm not here to bring up ancient quotes on release dates from 4-8 years ago or even to argue with you tim. I just want TW to overcome their stumbling blocks as I assume you do too.

I want them to move on from the image they have given themselves in my mind by repeatedly failing to meet my personal expectations of bannerlord. Instead of closing off information just because they might get burned I want them to open up and let this be a community driven game. This game was always meant to be something that was heavily influenced by an involved community. The closest thing we get to that is (what I'm guessing is) an elitist group of testers for the mp patch and we aren't even allowed to know much about that even though it's been coming soon for like 3 months.

Im just happy watching how some devs work REALLY hard everyday and work hand to hand with community

Is that a joke? Releasing a minor patch per week that fix one bug and create ten new bugs, without considering addind any of the suggested features the community has been asking for months or years, is working hard and "hand to hand with community" for you?
Here is a bit of advice for you: Try playing some other games and look at devs who are REALLY working hard on their game and hand to hand with community.

I respect yor opinion and don't consider it a joke, but mine didn't change, I know what I said.

They're working hard and that is undeniable, if you want to be a **** behind a computer just for the sake of being a **** go be it somewhere else instead of creating new accounts to troll

Keep going on with those insults because someone has a different opinion than you, that´s how a good discussion works (y)

This is my only account and I'm not trolling, I'm genuinely baffled that someone can congratulate the developers for "working hard and hand-to-hand with the community" considering the state of Bannerlord right now (which is an absolute disaster). Anyway, don't bother responding me, it seems like I've hit a nerve and I'm not interested in discussing with someone as emotional as you whose only means of communication is insults.

No one knows how hard or not hard they are working. That's just subjective mostly anyway. However, I mostly agree. Anyone who congratulates TW for this EA and thinks they are "working hand in hand with the community" is just being naive or dishonest.

He's had his account since January, that might be "new" to someone like me but it's undeniably an older account than yours. Cool your jets.

My point still stands, they are working hard and as much as you dislike this game there are still human beings doing their jobs in Taleworlds, you can dislike what they are doing but denying or diminishing their work is quite insulting, because apparently you're offended I'm using a marked word, but you're not doing anything different from what I do anyways as much as you claim to be civil.
And I quote

Friendly reminder I dislike many of the things this company does, still I think the human values that work there deserve respect. It's easy to insult them and claim they dont work hard behind a computer. This problem is something that happens in the game industry as a whole, where we treat devs as things we can insult and put our hate and frustration on, justified just by the fact we disliked something they've done. I may have to chill out but the reason I claim you're a troll is because you follow the same line of thought of coming into the forums and instead of living a fair critique you come with this attitude of claiming Taleworlds is a trash company, which I disagree completely.

There is nothing wrong with your opinion/statement. But you insulted him twice and also claimed he is a troll account. That´s the problem.

You need to accept different opinions other than yours. That´s how life works.

You think they work hard, he thinks they doesn´t? Where is the problem?

I also think that they can and should do more than they do.
