A question for the TW Staff

Speak for yourself; scenes are very important and are one of the biggest obvious placeholders. It's very important they get worked on. Besides it was just an example. Reading your messages it's clear you are very angry about the status of EA. I recommend you take a break from the forum/game and come back and see it in a years time.

Angry? No not really, disappointed is a better description. I don't get angry over video games. Eh, scenes are not a priority at all - especially because of the vacuum they exist in. How is a battle scene important when battles are over in under 3 minutes? How are town or village scenes important....when you don't ever need to see them? None of the scenes are important without actual content.

I recommend you take a break from defending this game and Taleworlds every time someone brings up a reasonable complaint or concern.

Armagan please don't tell me these are the only priorities the developers are working on

That was my take away too. All of the missing content, the first thing you list is scenes? Perhaps it was just a meaningless example, but me thinks it was a tell regarding their priorities.

Uh.... so when you think of missing content, scenes is the first thing that comes to mind? Wow. Of all the missing/desired content, scenes is at the bottom of that list.

I can't help but think this is another unintentional reveal, akin to when you described Bannerlord as "a fast paced action RPG with a sprinkling of strategy"

My hope for the games development continues to dwindle.
I had the same thoughts when I read that "reply-non-reply", also my hope is fading away, I am more and more convinced that this is what we'll get and mods will take acre of the rest....hope I am wrong.

Yeah you're trolling.. What a ****.
I'm not the one on probation mate :xf-wink: .

My point is 'camping' is just standing still on the map. It's not a feature; this isn't a hard concept.

Two things are similar with different names... please accept this and move on.

There is no further need to discuss this; this isn't a debate - just you getting angrier and angrier over something silly. :xf-tongue:

Or perhaps it was again just an example... it's as if he literally explained it as such.

<redacted for violating forum rules>

Okay lets start with my own criticism. I hate block delay - I think it's poorly implemented and really harms the MP. It's a bad design and needs to be removed desperately! I consider it one of the top things killing the MP scene right now. I've supported every thread I've seen asking for it to be removed - and made a number of my own.

Now you can stop pretending I support the game unconditionally.

Secondly... This is such a tiny semantic. I really can't be bothered to argue about it... but it lets you heal faster, and read books. Reading books did not need to be tied to it (it could just be while you were waiting anywhere), and healing faster is represented by a perk. There is nothing here of value that is missing from Bannerlord (unless you really really loved the books).

Also I am going to report the torrent of abuse. Please re-read the forum rules. I don't know exactly what probation means (in terms of the forum) but I can't imagine you are going to last long acting like this. Calm down - talk like an adult. Stop throwing childish insults.

Though I'd pretty sure that first comment about the moderators at least will probably get you banned...

<I was banned for what I said here!>

Nice... real nice...

Maybe the reason you are on probation and the reason you should be banned, is because of comments like that about autustic people, its demeaning and uncalled for and it dosent matter if the mod is autistic or not.
I mean that is as close as you get to writing a forum suicide note... just report him. Fietta or someone will take one look at that and probably temp-ban him if he is already on probation.

I already did report, so yeah will just wait and see.

I saw you frequently on the forum. You're not some kind of a fanboy. I think you're someone I can communicate with.
Firstly, you should NOT compare the second generation product with the original generation. It's retrogress. No matter who makes whatever products, he should absorb the feedbacks from the market to optimize his second generation product. As to Bannerlord, Mods of Warbands are its feedbacks which indicate features it lacks.
Secondly, Bannerlord costs twice as much as Warband, so it should contain double contents.
Just my opinions. I don't want to persuade you.
Comparing a modded Warband to Bannerlord is not fair either though. The beautiful thing with mods is that you can pick the stuff that you like and ignore the rest.
I just liked 3 mods for Warband, the rest didn't interest me at all. I would even prefer playing vanilla.

I agree with you on that part.
I didn't compare modded Warband to Bannerlord. Actually I didn't compare anything at all. My point is that developers should learn from mods and understand players' needs instead of doing whatever they like.
I like vanilla too, and persist on playing vanilla unless it's not possible. I used only 5 mods in Bannerlord including 'z0UnlimitedWanderers' 'CharacterTrainer' etc. just in order to save time. As for Warband, I didn't use any.

I think what you and others are trying to say is that when its finished, you would like it to be more impressive then warband. I agree, but don't judge a unfinished product as if it is finished. That's the whole point im trying to make.
Don't you think Callum would love to alleviate all our anxieties by telling us about the great features they have planned? I think he would love to, but he isn't going to lie to us, which is why he can only ever tell us about unique scenes and performance.

We certainly have some more things planned of course, but I'm not going to talk about them now (because the next question is when, and I don't know the answer to that!); Scenes was very much just an example in my earlier response. For us, it is much better to just keep working on the game and add things over time without trying to make a song or dance out of it. We will talk about what we are working on in more development updates over time, but only when those things are close to being released, or already in the game.

Thanks for this, I will keep an open mind then.

I don't disagree. Just wanted to point out that popular mods aren't necessarily a good development plan. Just look at all the skimpy armors for Skyrim...

There are times I do wish I could +1 some comments, instead I'll just give this. (y)

Well, I guess it depends, I mean, nobody will complain about immersion or roleplay components, more quest, dialogues, diplomacy, interaction, scenes (and a huge list here) that only can make a better game.

And there are tons of content that can be optional, so will hurt nobody if you add them.

You don't need to copy mods, but if PoP for example is considered the best mod by most players, maybe is a good idea to inspire on it for example.

And inspire doesn't mean copy the core of the mod. If you recreate custom orders from PoP for example, I am 100% sure that most players will totally love it, and you can create it, or not. Nobody force you.
