A Question About Arrows

Users who are viewing this thread

OK, I've been wondering about this for some time. If I pick up arrows on the battlefield (without replacing quivers), will the damage modifier be my original set of arrows or the ones that I picked up? For example I used up my batch of Khergit Arrows, then I went and picked up normal arrows without replacing my quiver. Will I get +1 or +3 damage?

I was wondering the exact same thing, but with bolts since during a siege I found some steel bolts and picked them up, but I don't know if they just convert to regular bolts once I put them in my bag

I doubt the game keeps tracks of every single arrow in your quiver so when you pick just one I believe it will convert to whatever your original quiver is.  Not 100% positive though, the way you could test it is to fire an arrow in a wall after picking it up and go see what kind it is.

I do know that sometimes I have to drop my weapons because I picked up something I don't want instead of an arrow, and in that case the quivers are of the Khergit sort even if they're not full and I was picking up regular arrows.

Actually I'd tell it does keep track of every arrow and I'd swear I got weaker hits after picking some plain arrows to my bodkins quiver, but I'm not 100% sure either

I'm not sure either, but I think if you pick up bolts/arrows while there's still one in your quiver, whatever you pick up will match the one you have left, but if you pick up bolts/arrows with an empty quiver, everything will match whatever you pick up first.  I couldn't swear to it, though.

This. Tons of ways to turn this hack, in multiplayer especially.

Just tried it yesterday in a siege defense.  I had 0 arrows left in my 2 quivers of Khergit arrows, picked up a regular arrow, shot on the wall:  Khergit arrow.

I guess one would have to drop the quiver for the new type of arrows to register, otherwise you're just filling up the original quiver.

I know about that, I just want to know about the damage modifier. It could be that every quiver has a certain skin, but the damage count could have been from the original arrow that you picked up, right?

well if i pick up bolts and drop em it still say like steel bolts if that was what i picked up...i think it does keep track, just like with a siege crowsbow instead of a normal one
