it's half empty for you, right? :)

Well, I never understood that whole "the glass is half empty/half full debate". ;)

If you just have a glass "half full" of water, you've most likely drunk the other half, which would mean It's gone from full to half empty xD

This whole glass half full/empty is just hypothetical nonsese. You can never trulley divide a glass of water in two equal portions.

Even if you were to have a molecular counter, to devide all the molecules in half, and then a molecular filter that only allows one water molecule to pass trough at once, Even then half the time you would end up with an odd number of molecules, which would make your job impossible because water is tri-nuclear and you would have to break up the last molecule which means that the Oxigen atom would have to be evenley devided, which is quite hard to accomplish without loss off energy trough fission.

You do realize that you sounded just like Sheldon in "The Big Bang Theory" TV show, right? It's a metaphor, don't try to be philosophical about it.

well, if anything I would say my analysis was the complete polar opposite of "phylosophical" as it used physical chemistry to critique a phylosophical "metaphor".

I don't see how that's even remotely relevant to this thread.

You understood my point.
