A new "type" of damage

Allow modders to give weapons an attribute of knock back. That is to say give us the ability to make a weapon knock a person down. Which can copy the "getting run over by a horse" graphic.

Yes, but I think we could make guns or magic that did knock back damage every time it hits as well as damage. I didn't think that was an attribute.

I don't know what causes it - the Power Strike skill or your Strength score, but something already does this. I've noticed that, with some frequency, I can knock my enemies to the ground when using two-handed swords and even single-hand bludgeons.

Guns and magic are different discussions altogether. And guns wouldn't have any knockback effect anyway, unless you're talking roundshot from a culverin or something.

As for other weapons having knockdown damage, I'm not opposed to having the axe knocking someone to the ground.

Oh, and if that war-hammer is supposed to do blunt damage, it ought to be used with the hammer, not the spike. (J'accuse, M&B!)

AFAIK you can't knock down with regular two-handed swords, but the arena sword does blunt-damage.

the warhammer has no spike, but the military hammer does. Touche, *****!

Un-touche. I was not talking about what is in the game known as "large warhammer" (I think that's the name), which is simply a stone hammer. I am, in fact, referring to the warhammer that deals (b)ludgeoning damage (12b or so, I believe). I think it might even be called a warhammer in the game. I am not referring to the somewhat larger version which deals (p)iercing damage.

In faciem tuam!

Military Hammer, does blunt but is shown being swung pick side forward. Doesn't look very blunt to me...

That's the one I meant, then. It's still a warhammer, though.

your mom's a warhammer. if there is a weapon simply called "warhammer", I'd assume you were referring to it. Same as if I wen around saying how ****ty it is that the sword had no thrust. then someone would say that it had, but I'd merely reply that I was talking about the nomad sabre.

That doesn't make his point about it any less legitimate.

Wasn't around in July, and no one likes half-year old posts resurrected.

Besides, the only weapons in the game that can legitimately be called warhammers are the ones that has a small hammer on one side of the head, and a spike on the other. Like the military pick.
