I only ever feel like the enemy has an AI when it's the cavalry.

Yeah, the cav AI is good, impressive at times. On the other hand, the infantry AI is almost as bad as Warband(except for duels)

I would agree for longer/more meaningful, but fewer battles. My average time for conquering a fief is like 5 minutes. Most battles indeed play the same, on the higher difficulties you should be forced to use different strategies to win.

Battle tactics in Warband were significantly better so I can only assume that with the improvements they say they want to make, that the AI strategic abilities will certainly improve as it is in their capabilities

I hope so, the AI in general is terrible, it would take an entire re-working of it. Enemy hideouts is an absolute disgrace. For the enemy to act tactically it would require so much of an improvement.

No, this is not what Warband was like. Even fully modded Warband was never THIS good. THIS detailed, THIS will thought through. I uninstalled Warband for good now. So excited about what will happen with and in this game from here on out.

In Bannerlord? Like 10 minutes, Warband probably somewhere around there

Lol, it's not that I'm calling you a liar but I think you don't really realize what 10 minutes means. Your battles last, like everyone, probably 2 or 3 minutes at most. It's litterally IMPOSSIBLE to make them last 10 minutes, except if you order your men to follow you and then simply run around the map, doing nothing for 10 minutes but escape the enemy. As soon as your men start fighting their opponents, then it's over in 1 minute.

Check this video mate, the battle is 5 minutes. kinda short when you think about it but it is what it is.
