Eight years ago I came home from practice and refreshed YouTube - to my surprise I saw a trailer for "Mount and Blade II Bannerlord", and I rushed to these forums to post a thread, the first on the forums. In the eight years since then I've graduated high school, started and finished college, moved to a new city, started a real job, went through two serious relationships.
(I haven't gotten a chance to play yet because of work, but I'm counting down the minutes till I can launch the game.)
I still vividly remember playing Warband for the first time in 2010 and being blown away by the freedom it offered. For a kid that didn't have too many friends and felt trapped and unhappy a lot of the time, being able to roam around freely in the world of Calradia and do basically whatever I want was an mind-blowing and slightly therapeutic experience, and it helped me get through some really really tough times.
I just want to thank all the devs for their effort on the game – sitting here trying to finish up work so I can play Bannerlord makes me feel like a 12 year old kid again running home from school so I could boot up warband and ride around. I've had so many great experiences with this series of games, and met so many friends through these forums and multiplayer, and I can't wait to see what Bannerlord has to offer!
