The $22 I spent on this game was the best $22 I've ever spent. Thank you Taleworlds for a game better than Oblivion for a third of the cost and a fraction of the budget. You make me happy inside.

Heh, that's actually not that much of an achievement.

To be fair, Oblivion is among the best medieval/fantasy type RPGs I've played. Granted I haven't played all that many in that genre. But still.

Oblivion was disappointing in a number of aspects, not least because it was designed for the console plebs, so everything is dumbed down and simple. I can't really enjoy Oblivion without some major mods active.

Also; congratulations on your excellent purchase.

Morrowind was actually a lot better. That said, M&B probably as the best combat system in any game I've played so far without it getting tedious or boring.

Mounted combat hands down, but when it comes to one-on-one foot combat, I still maintain that Blade of Darkness is superior. -> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZdP83kxT-U

As for Oblivion, it did have some bright moments (the combat system, and also the skill system in which certain milestones give special abilities was a nice touch), but I was mostly disappointed by the bland gameworld, the short and completely idiotic plot, and the horrible scaling system which adjusts everything to your character's level, thus throwing all challenge and sense of achievement out the window.
