A god just spoke and told me to destroy those who threaten "my D'shar".

Does that mean he wants me to attack the Empire who has taken a few cities and is beating them up?  That's a pretty big task. I'm a merc for Fierdsvain right now.

Any advice on whether this is what he wants?  I probably can take on smaller armies but I'm not equipped yet to take cities by myself.

 
I always wonder(and now finally I'm asking) if these gods' voices are some unfinished feature? UllrVetr gives a bow, but others do nothing, was scripting too difficult? :smile:
 
Well now I'm at war with the Empire and a merc for the D'shar.

Funny thing is when I was a merc for the Empire the D'shar were really hard to beat. Now the Empire is really hard to beat.

Why is that?

Maybe that was Easter Egg?

Come on! Did I tell you PoP are somewhat annoying in middle of the game? I have my own kingdom with its court in Laria, there's no one dare to attack me except those Empire which they says are good infantry. But they cant withstand my cavalry! The problem is, they always odd me, 1:3 or 1:100.000 and thats why I lost Calendian castle.
 
Sounds like the AI is using good strategy, attacking with overwhelming numbers and picking on a weak faction just like a human player would.  With only 3:1 odds against you, you should be able to win a defensive siege.

Not without a good defensive army, something that Hybrid may be lacking.  I have a force of 100 archers, mixed crossbows and R-Rangers, 30 Kierguard, and that basically kills anything and everything.

And you are losing battles.... How exactly?  The armored crossbows will pick off anything that moves, while the Pendorian troops will make an impenetrable wall of meat.

With that, I could hold off a force 1200 strong, easily!

It was always meant as a flavor thing only, but I agree it's misleading. If we tried then (almost two years ago) to add real consequences for letting a faction die, we would have had a problem when the player himself is demolishing a faction. Which is kind of a goal of the game - defeat everybody.
