It was raining that day. it was cold, it was muddy. the wagons and cannons were stuck in the roads and the regiment was already exhausted from the long march. "Captain Perkins, i want this convoy moving now!" said Colonel Bigglesworth. "Sir, the regiment is exhausted, we cannot make it!" replied Capt. Perkins.
"Damn you, we cannot leave any of our equipment here for the bloody Frogs! Now get your arse in gear and get this convoy moving!"
"Yes sir..."
After about 20 minutes of pushing and shoving, we finally got the convoy moving. the forest wast dark and gloomy and the trees loomed over you like they were about to fall over on you. we were about a two days out of Fort William Henry and we were in constant fear of being ambushed. any second an arrow could shoot from the trees and and one of our boys could fall to ground. i was basically ****ting my pants watching the treeline just waiting for an arrow or a bullet to pass through me. with any luck it get me in the head. but we made the best of it. Pvt. Cooper and Grey made fun of Sgt. Maj. Chesterfield behind his back, me and Jack Poppins(yes, like Mary Poppins. she is in fact his future great-grandaughter) talked about life back home and laughed about all the crap the Welsh regiments get for "smelling so bad, the french fire perfume out of their muskets" instead of the acrid smoke they usually do. it could be good if we made it that way. but my worst fears were realized; the colours bearer was hit with three arrows before falling over onto the rank in front of him, the drummer's drum was blown out of his hands, and then a hail of arrows and bullets came through the tree line. we could hear the French barking at eachother and the Indians whooping and hollering their warcries.

Done.

Don't make me do this again, people, or I'm going to start handing out temps. There's nothing that quite ticks me off like spam in an RP thread.
