i have a few suggestions... all of which hav probably been asked about anyway but im too lazy to search:

1. Wildlife - maybe the chance to hunt a pack of wild boars or hounds, something like that.

2. Attackable Towns - Make it more like a war because at the moment even if you are a swadian or whatever you can walk into the enemies town and use there services which i think is abit stupid.

what does 'attackable towns' have to do with 'can't shop/sleep there'? anyways, i doubt merchants would care that much about you being of an enemy faction. if you have a bad rep with [insert enemy faction] caravans, though, it makes sense to charge higher prices, and maybe stop you from buying completly if you're evil enough to them. but to be fair you would need to have a way to raise your reputation with them also.
 
but its ment to be war... in the second world war the germans didnt sail over to america and buy food and then just return did they? thats what i mean, if its ment to be war its not very realistic.
 
well, that would be true if it was a full-scale war, but as someone pointed out in another thread, this is just little fiefdoms having skirmishes. you wouldn't expect people to care very much about your reputation with some government when every city has a lord and they are loosely allied in two main groups.
 
oh... lol... i feel like a n00b now... but still it would be good to have the option to take out a merchant or 2 if you were patriotic :razz: but they would have to respawn !
 
I like the wildlife idea. Hunting could have a bonus that comes with the class "hunter". Maybe after killing an animal, you could collect their fur or food.

Another suggestion, maybe farms? crops? Another way to make profit other than trading. It seem limiting, I hate trading :???:.
 
There was a thread about hunting a while ago, I think it came to the conclusion that most people wanted hunting.
 
See like I posted already on a different thread, I think classes should recieve more bonuses, so that the player thinks more on who to pick :wink:. As for merchants, maybe a new item can be added, "Wooden Cart" or "Steel Cart". Or maybe a marketplace where you can set up stuff for sale, but I'm thinking MP here :lol:. Fore the other classes I'm sure there of course should also be bonuses.

I also think new classes wouldn't hurt :wink:.
 
I thought that the "class" that you choose at the start of the game is what you DID, in the past. You can make your own "class" by adding stats to various skills. Then you have more flexibility with your future.
 
It would be fun to put on some comfortable green leather hunting clothes, drink a glass of brandy and head off to the forest with my boar spear but I think it would be too hard to program that.
