An old movie came to my mind this evening. One of my favorite childhood movies. Salute of the jugger.
Something like that could work in this game. Given that most clans have around 5 members.
A tournament that takes place outside villages between clanmembers and for some prices, weird prices like in the movie. Like the player could offer a workshop or a daughter as price.

There were also duels for promises, a knight stood on a bridge and would not let any knight cross who did not fight with him, until he fulfilled the promise and defeated X number of knights.
