I have given up on this mod, but I thought I should post the problem I had in case it might be of help in the future.
I had no trouble at all playing the mod with max. battle size and high settings. Other than the crashing while saving I had NO problems. Save crashes were non-existent until I reached about 750 total troops.
I played a game as a woman and a game as a man. Both times the crashing began when the troop numbers reached about 750. Prior to these troop numbers I could fight battles with hundreds of troops on both sides and have no trouble saving. After reaching the approx. 750 mark I could no longer save after any battle even if one side had only a dozen troops.
I re-fought some of these battles 5 times and had a save crash after every time. I tried saving right after the battle, playing for a few minutes and longer and then saving, and opening the save window and waiting a minute or so before saving and none of it worked.
I was using 3.92 with the hotfix applied so I was as up-to-date as possible. I had cheat mode enabled but used no cheats but the denars cheat. The money situation of Warband is so ridiculous I would not play it without this cheat. I had this enabled from the beginning so I doubt this had any effect. In both cases I had my own kingdom but well before the crashing began.
The first game I played I reached about 750 troops at about day 310 and then the crashing started. The second game I reached about 750 troops at about day 95 and then the crashing started.
Unfortunately I started a different mod and my rgl text was over-written so I don't think I can provide any other important information.
My OS is XPProSP2 if that matters.
