A bridge?

This is a pretty minor point, really, but I just thought I'd mention it. I recently went back and played a little as a hunter, to try and work on my pitiful skill with archery. Unfortunately, I still really suck at it, but it hit me. I was patrolling both sides of the river for River Pirates, and I thought "Hey, it'd be great if there was a bridge across this thing!" I realize that would be quite a feat for medeival architecture, but I can't think of any reason it'd be impossible, and it'd save the time of having to walk all the way to the end of the river to go down the other side.

That's a pretty big river toget a bridge across. Besides the land's at war, if there was one it'd be destroyed in a matter of days. However, a ferry at Zendar would work.

The river is a nice dividng line on the map that adds more than just visuals. it makes travelling between the lower half towns (Rivacheg, Wercheg, Tihr, Zendar, Sargoth, Khudan) longer and more strategic, and is a nice solid, definite dividing line between the Swadians and the Vaegir.

A very expensive wartime ferry would be cool, though. ;)

Perhaps other minor rivers that are bridged, and those bridges can have an impact on the tactical level battles?

Beacuse you know now every battle map has some kind of river, regardless of how flat and grassy the map was when the two parties ran into each other

Imagine running from an enemy, realising they'll eventually catch you, so you run to a bridge and wait for them - go to the battle screen and there you are, with a narrow bridge between the two sides. Kind of like Shogun or Medieval Total War.

I like this idea, I think it's allready quite cool how the rivers and terrain affect the game with cliffs and slowed movement in water. An extension to the bridge idea might be to have deep, uncrossable, rivers with a shallow section and a bridge to serve as chokepoints for the enemy.

These things however have to be pre-made locations as asking the random terrain generator to create it would be too hard.

At some point the future it would be even cooler to have actual sea movement/battles. Though the "mount" part would be replaced by ahoy & blade :) for that moment.
