A 90-employee studio with ONE actively-maintained product is releasing only ONE THREE-LINE bug fix patch per week. Unbelievable.

Something must be very wrong with the management team in Taleworlds. I'd like to wholeheartedly advise the leaders of this company that they must do something to keep their company alive for the next decade.

They are ...active

Hey dude. until now they didn't make working Perk!. how terrible.
3weeks work and make one perk working .hope asap mod Tool Share for mod creater. they working better.. ?
..well so sad this is Real.

Just pray for a full release within the next year.

I understand that COVID and everything else is working against them, but in these few months, there are simply too many mods that fix and remedy/add too many things for me to provide any defense for this timeframe of work.

Especially with my time on the forums alone, they are very selective when it comes to feedback. I just hope the mod tools are glorious.

Its in EARLY ACCESS! I have tried many early access games and betas and I know that this is going way better than other games like Cube World and many others. They have done a great job with Warband with many updates. Show the devs support.

We know a bigger patch is in the works.

But let's be real, even if they released a big update every week, you would still complain that they didn't add enough content / things you wanted :p

As long as i get proper modding tools, I don't care what they do. Every player has their own vision of what BL should be, even TW.

.

I get super grumpy about the lack of updates lately. I'm not counting fixes to things that were broken by patches/updates.
I also wonder though if covid and other issues could be much harder on them then we know. Perhaps the working team is actually much smaller right now because they have personal issues to take care of and we just don't know.
I'm grumpy because I want the end result of a fuller more functional game, but I don't really know what it's like on their end.

The game may not be finished for a year...

If patience isn't your thing, then why did you buy an EA game.

Were those EAs also in development for over 8 years, and made by a fairly sizeable companies that had previous experiences to draw upon? And were those EAs also sequels to games that they don't actually differ all that much from? Not to mention, that did those EAs' predecessors have a wealth of mods that the devs could draw inspiration from? I could go on like that.

Do you know that if they put all the effords on immediate fixes you would never have the main features that left right? In a developer team you dont have everyone working in the same things, because its not worthy.

If you cant deal with your frustration probably you should play other games meanwhile.

They are working on things that will be released later (when ready). Them doing hotfix with priority bugs, doesn't imply they all stopped all other work and made a hotfix.
Still development of things related to game logic (including perks), seems very slow considering their manpower.

I think people tend to forget, this is sandbox game, and whilst player assumes direct control, rest is automated and thus requires CAREFUL consideration and balancing.
Seee when they rushed perks, AI lords ended up attacking lightspeed. Its tricky thing and needs time.

And for efs sake, early access.

You seem to be an expert on how to run a 90+ people gamedev company, offer them your consulting services.
