The 97th Regiment of Foot is a regiment aimed at a mainly mature and active member base, located primarily in North America.
The 97th is a United Kingdom Regiment, and the aim is to provide an enjoyable experience that will help both veterans and newcomers have fun.
Over time, we hope to become one of the most skilled regiment in the community, with out own private dedicated servers and teamspeak.
While we are laid back, we also want to be disciplined when it comes to events. This typically means not talking much during a battle where some of us are [still] alive.
The better discipline, the more you learn, the better you get. And the better you are, you tend to have more fun.
If you display enough skill and dedication, as well as a mind for tactics, you will rise quickly through the ranks.
Upon reaching NCO ranks such as Corporal, you will be taught more advanced tactics as well as how to discipline the regiment. If you continue to display the skills that got you into an NCO position, and improve upon them, you will be considered for the rank of Officer.
Major - Major: The second in command, this man has shown the most dedication to the regiment, the most experience, and the best leading abilities. This man brings all regimental issues straight to the Colonel, if the Colonel doesnt know yet. This man is quite possibly the best man in the regiment, and all regimental duties fall on him when the Colonel is absent.
Captain - Cpt: The first true officer rank, these men rise from the ranks of Lieutenants through experience in battle as both leading the line, and following it. These men know the commands by heart, and will lead the line straight into the enemy if that is what it takes to win.
Lieutenant - Lt: The first officer, though more of an Ensign, these men will be trained into Officers, trained to lead the line into battle against even overwhelming odds. They must learn to take the reigns should all other officers fall to enemy fire.
Sergeant Major - SgtMajor: The final NCO rank. These men have shown the UTMOST dedication to their duties, and as such, are now available to become Officers, should the position open. Few work harder than these men, and fewer still will ever reach this point.
Sergeant - Sgt: The next NCO rank, their job is to scout, report enemy positions, and keep discipline in the line.
Corporal - Cpl: The Corporals, the first NCO rank available, their job is to keep the line straight and in direction.
Lance Corporal - LCpl: Those men who wish to be an NCO or even a CO, this is the basic stage, where we will form them into NCO material.
Chosen Man - ChsM: This isn't an official rank, its more of a ceremonial thing, it shows that these men are the best of the privates, and have earned their were through fighting to achieve the next level.
Private - Pvt: The primary rank, few pass higher than this, however, that is not to be ashamed of. These men make the regiment what it is, and we are proud they are with us.
Recruit - Rct: The fresh meat to the regiment, they have yet to learn the ways of the regiment, but will quickly be promoted, should they show maturity and an aptitude in the field.

7) If a round or map ends, you are to stay in formation, do not jump out of line or discharge your weapon, or hit someone.
