.903 crashing to Desktop...ran fine all previous versions.(updated)

Guys,

First off system specs:

Dell Latop Vostro 1500
Core2Duo blah blah blah
1GB
100MB HDD
Nvidia 8400M GS w/ 128MB on card
Windows Vista

All previous versions of M&B from .894 up through .901 worked fine.  However, i installed .903 the other day and it crashed to Desktop.  Seems to be when i fight Khergite Steppe Bandits mainly.  I have tried DX 7 mode, lower resolutions mode and Windowed.  It makes no difference.  It keeps puking out.  Sometimes i can get through one battle but thats about it.  Any ideas???

Oh yeah, when problems started i found out Dell has not released a new Video Driver so i got one of the 'Modded' drivers that is made to work with this card.  However, no real change...Maybe a few FPS better but same CTD...  Whenever it crashes to Desktop it does not give me any errors it just displays the typical Vista application has stopped working and it will seek a solution or something to that effect.. Thanks for any help...

Will try the reinstall...

Not using a save game...

Even Cold booted (Otherwords computer is completely cool and i boot and launch game right away) it crashes within minutes of game start

No none of that worked...but here is what works...

Uninstalled .903...
Reinstalled .903 = no change, still crashes..
Uninstalled .903
Installed .894 then upgraded to .901...

.901 works fine for hours on end, in fact in days of testing - no crashes at all.  Installed software to monitor temps and all are normal under both versions...
I even maxed all detail / options...no crashes under .901...

Final verdict:  .901 = Runs perfect (as before)  .903 = crashes all the time...

Solution: to remain with .901 until trying a newer release at a later date... Thanks for ideas

Did you try setting the Compatibility mode to XP? To do this right click the icon, choose Properties, click the Compatibility tab, choose "Windows XP SP2" (or similar) from the list, and click OK. In some cases this makes games work correctly and in other cases it doesn't do any good. It's certainly worth a try.

Actually, thats how i run it now( under XP compatibility and still .903 crashes/ .901 is fine)...Thanks for checking though!

M&B 0.903 has some new graphical stuff, That's the reason why so many people have been having problems. As for me in 0.901 I can play a battle with over 200 men and it doesn't even glitch, but with 0.903, 60 men are already giving me trouble. Now, please Armagan or someone of the producing team, you should undo this feature, whatever it is, and put it back the way it was. I dont see any real graphical diference from 0.901 to 0.903, so what's the point? Besides loosing quality? Please, someone look into it. Otherwise I and some other users will have to keep playing 0.901.
We'd apreciate some attention.

Gluck, i have same problems here with 256Mb Ati X1650 graphic card , and after seeing your message i decided to install 0.901,This seems to be only solution for us and other problem having users.

I ll install and enjoy the M&B
