8 is the maximum for skills?

I'm not sure whether I'm just being really stupid and missing something here but am I right that 8 is the maximum any of the riding, ironflesh etc.. skills will go?

If so, why?

I was focussing on the solo skills with every intention of simply keeping them increasing (given there's that 1/3 restriction, it'd be a tough thing to get them very high) then hit the 8 mark and had to find other skills to increase.

I am planning to increase the limit to 10 sometime, but they are limited to 8 at the moment.

go to your skills.txt file and the second number from the skill name, starting from the left, that should say 8, is the skll limit, set that to whatever. dont go past 15 though, because if you do, the skill resets back to 1.
