My followers will not heal between battles, with or without sleeping. At least not fully anyway perhaps not at all. My party and some of the followers themselves have wound management and first aid skills. NPC heros heal fine.

Armagan stated in the suggestion part of the forum that this is a bug. Troop health isn't saved anywhere, so your troops will always be at full health after a particular battle. So just ignore what the stats window says.
