4th Hereticus Zusteller Cavalry

Men taken from Austrian prisons before the Napoleonic War broke out were put into an experimental cavalry regiment, the 4th Hereticus Zustellar Cavalry. These people, freed from their sentences for the most vicious crimes put together into one band to destroy the opposition and hunt down those disloyal to the crown. The regiment proved to be valuable with the ferocity of the prisoners in mock fights. Army leadership wanted them to be more potent and brutal within the execution of skirmishes so before the final testing of the regiment Austrian leadership distributed to the men khat leaves imported from the Arabian Peninsula.
The town of Kal had been recently infested with heretical cult rising taking over local leadership. Sent to settle this incursion were the 4th Hereticus Zusteller Cavalry. Taken away with adrenaline and khat they entered into a swift battle where few Zusteller's were lost to the town's militia. Once the fight ended so did the town. Overcome with spilled blood the deranged men performed heinous war crimes including the destruction of the town that Austrian leadership turned a blind eye towards. Satisfied with assessment the 4th were kept around and all forums upon them redacted as they waited for the possibility of war.
Soon after word of these secret formations caught the ear of Franz I the last Holy Roman Emperor, swiftly he shut down these programs. Going against the Emperor's say generals of the army saw that these deranged men could be of some use and started the building of a fort in the Austrian mountains and they wouldn't be seen until a war came through.
During a short war with the Hungarians the 4th was used frequently fighting in many battles, but that is not where their renown comes from. True it is, that they did well within large scale encounters it was in raiding and skirmishing where they shone. The Hereticus Zusteller's had a knack for fighting early morning right before the sun was rising. Charging through fog, chewing khat, and meeting the enemy encampment. There was nothing better in their eyes. Warm blood dotted their clothes and steamed upwards like a soul leaving the body. It was with these clashes where their rumored name was told in a hushed tone in children's tales. And generals bathed in the glory they bought with blood and death.

The 4th Hereticus Zusteller Cavalry are formed from a group of Warband native players
looking to break into the Napoleonic Wars community.
We come from a competitive background and have competed in many tournaments are are experienced in play.
The 4th as the name might suggest is an all cavalry regiment.
We aim to strive and grow within the community and become stronger, better, and create a pleasant environment.
