We are a professional Regiment looking for mature people in the North American Napoleonic Wars community that want to be part of something big, and have fun in line battles and events. We require that all members follow direct orders, not fool around in the line, and try to be mature in combat. We want our members to be respectful of other regiments, whether they have a good reason or not. There will be no tolerance for double-regging, as it would result in kick/demotion. We have our own in-game 200 slot server hosted in New York and payed for by Marquis. We also have a 50 slot Teamspeak 3 server hosted by Midnight's Free Teamspeak Server Hosting.

Ranking Structure, Promotions, Demotions:

We have a very specific ranking structure in the 4e. It is shown below:
Colonel
Lieutenant Colonel
Chef de Batallion
Captaine

Lieutenant
Sous Lieutenant
Adjutant
Adjutant Sous Officer
Sergeant

Caporal Chef
Caporal
Soldat Premiere
Soldat Deuxieme
Cadet
Conscript (Mercenary)

[size=12pt]In the 4e, there is plenty of room for promotions and demotions. In order to get a promotion, you must show certain traits and skills to be noticed by the company commander, and the commander will report it to the officers to put it in to consideration. The "traits" that we are looking for in a soldier are things such as dedication and loyalty, which is best expressed by recruiting people from the community, following direct orders, and showing respect for the leaders, for other people in the regiment, and other regiments inside and outside of events. There should also be some sort of leading potential seen in the recruit, in order for them to further be promoted. Skill is not a big factor in promotions, as it is not seen as a basic necessity for early promotion, but will be taken in to account more seriously when the soldier reaches the higher ranks.

All members of the regiment have the same opportunity for promotion, as they do for demotion. Any person in the regiment can be demoted, depending on the severity of the offense that has taken place. Unlike promotions, the request for a demotion does not need to be put forward by the company commander, but can be submitted by anyone in particular. The request will be taken into consideration and the member will be questioned and monitored in the later days to come. All promotions and demotions take place on Sunday, when the regiment has its weekly annual meeting. This meeting will consist of future plans for the regiment along with promotions, but demotions will not be handed out in front of everyone, but instead in the officer channel in teamspeak. Some offenses that can lead to demotion are as followed: Double regging (none if this is tolerated, as we believe that all members should focus on this regiment, or not focus on it at all), disrespect (although some might see disrespect as a playful attitude towards some people, officers in the regiment can pick it out carefully. Only when it crosses the line is it analyzed by the leaders and considered whether it is demotion-worthy or not). Inactivity is a big one (if a member is inactive and does not show up to events for a long period of time, usually 2 weeks or so, without a good enough excuse or without informing an officer of this absence, the member will be demoted depending on their rank).

Regimental Information/Expectancy of Members

The 4e would like to see all of its members turn into great Napoleonic Wars players, as they are seen as the responsibility of the officers. The main goal of the 4e is to make sure everyone has a fair chance at having their fun in the regiment, such as a member could get their own channel in the Teamspeak server if it is requested and the request is accepted (will be accepted based on performance). The "hard truth" about the NW community is that it is slowly dying. With the soon release of games such as Battle Cry of Freedom, another game by Flying Squirrel Entertainment, War of Rights, a highly anticipated game by both members of the Napoleonic Wars and North and South communities, and the even MORE anticipated, Mount and Blade Warband: Bannerlord. We try to keep the community alive with going to events and recruiting more people into the regiment, so that the community does not go down in flames like a defenseless peasant town, but is slowly crushed to pieces like a fort during a siege. A big goal of the 4e is to give all of the members an experience that will last in their memories for a while, so that the defense of the "Fort of NW" will not go down in vain.

There is not much information to be said about the 4e, as it is just a regular NA regiment, like the other ones. We have simple dreams, followed by major plans to make the regiment grow in size and in popularity, and to again, give all of the members a good experience. Like others that love the community of NW, we don't know what the future holds for it. All we hope is that we can brace for it and let it down slowly, not just quit it all together. I (the leader of the 4e, Marquis) have been playing Mount and Blade: Warband since its release a while back. I have been playing it ever since on 3 separate accounts, with the third one gaining the most hours overall. But that is not important. What is important is the regiment itself. We have basic standards for all of our members to follow a certain "code of conduct", to respect all other regiments and their members, respect our members, and have fun, to make this experience last. Sure, it is likely that nobody will be telling the story of the NW community to their grandchildren, but we will still remember it.
