Nice signature, but the Batavian Republic flag is reffering to the French, and the dutch flag is just without that thingie in the upper left

this is the flag of the batavian republic which ended in 1806. Then it became the Kingdom of Holland that ended in 1810.
It then became part of the First French Empire. Then in 1815 the United Kingdom of the Netherlands was created and back again in 1839 with the Belgian revolution it got split up again and is now just called The Netherlands.
It is the right flag. I went for the flag that marines used even after the national flag was changed.
