4 hours of Warband

I played 4 hours last night and it was a joyful revisit to Warband. Nothing really seems to have changed at all, right down to the controls and the small side quests.

I had to track a guy down who was hiding in a village, which was just as annoying as it was in Warband and I never found him. The people you can ask for directions all took me to the guy who was looking for him instead.

Then I had to defend a village from bandits, but after waiting around for 15 minutes in the village no attack was coming and I gave up. It was just waiting time..not sure how those quests are supposed to go.

So in EA Bannerlord looks like Warband with better graphics, and I imagine a lot of Warband player mods added as standard features. I guess I'll pay $40 for that...

You can find people & objects in cities, towns, and battlefields by holding ALT. This will highlight zones and notable NPCs in cities & towns, and weapons on the ground in battles. It's not the most immersive thing, but it's nice if you're struggling to find one NPC that is purposefully hidden in the significantly larger village scenes.

When you get a quest to defend the village, you have to "leave" by holding TAB and then choose the menu item on the campaign map to wait in the settlement.

Coop would be nice.
Yes it would be nice but I fear that the demand is not enough for it to happen but im still hoping since even today games like Rimworld that never was intended to have coop but now has it also so does Cities skylines and also Skyrim sooo lets hope!!!

Funny because a lot of the people here are saying it's not Warband (when it is minus the Warband class layout.)

I agree. Pretty much Warband with improved graphics.
But how do you cope with the new moving/combat system?

Personally, I played for 7 hours and I feel that the combat system was far more enjoyable in Warband..

It is for now, because the combat system should've been paired with suitable missions. Just old Warband missions won't work with this one that requires much more care, where even 1v1 melees have to be taken seriously. Unless you play horse archer strictly, that hasn't gone down in power scale as dramatically.

If they would have indeed let the character development and combat of Warband in it, i would have gladly payed even 80 euro, but you
can't have all i suppose.

gotta say i miss the character creation of multiplayer. I don't like the new stream integrated system also if you look at future multiplayer mods.
