Is there a possibility to use 3ds Max to make models for M&B? I found .obj plugin for 3ds max but it doesn´t seem to work. And i even tried Wings3d but that didn´t work either, anyone  ?

Else if 3ds max´s .obj plugin don´t work, i tried to export my model from 3ds max in .3DS file and import that file in Wings3d and export it then to .obj, but that didn´t seem to work either...

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
Ashy...

Well, you're not alone. I remember at least a couple of people a while back saying they couldn't get anything exported from 3dsmax to work with the model importer. There was talk of moving files from 3dsmax to Wings3d and then exporting to obj for the model importer, but I forget how that turned out.

Maybe someone who's tried it will chime in with better info.

EDIT: fixed spelling - "obj" rather than "bj"

Thanks for the notice Janus

Milkshape 3d? is that 3d making program like 3ds max etc? or importer for M&B?

You mean Milkshape not 3d max i think Lu Bu...

If you are using max, these options are what I use when exporting:

I'm not sure what version of 3ds you have, but you shouldn't need a plugin... its been a standard feature for quite a few versions i think.

Also keep in mind 3ds max has different axis to the obj standard, so you'll need to rotate your object by 90 degrees.

I meant milkshape and i said that.

(Its like 3d max) <--- i said.

And Ashlander asked about Milkshape and also if its like 3ds max.

Or where i´m mistaken now?

obj export was added in version 7.
My 3ds (version 7) exports obj's fine, however, my Maya 7 does not (there is an error during the import into the BRF editor).
