Does this apply for Warband as well?

I noticed this from here:
http://strategywiki.org/wiki/Mount%26Blade/Mounted#Weapon_choices
"Wielding a two-handed weapon from horseback incurs a 35% penalty to speed and damage because you are using it with only one hand, but you are still unable to use a shield with it. This penalty also applies to the Bastard Sword and Strange Sword, which can be wielded as one- or two-handed weapons."

Not sure if it's still 35% or if it has been rebalanced but there's certainly a big hit, for using 2h/1h in 1h mode.

5% speed and 20% damage penalty would be more appropriate, to be honest. That 35% thing is just unrealistic and stupid, especially given that only a handful 2h weapons can actually be used in one hand as well. It's not like you're swinging a poleaxe or sledgehammer in one hand or something.

Actually it is  Try to take head hunter/bounty hunter (don't know how exactly they're called in english versiom) to the highest tier. They will swing sledgehammers very often.

infact, on horseback, you are using every 2 hander in one hand. and yes. top tier Slavers are using sledgehammers on horseback.
