The only other reply to that thread leads to nowhere. It also sounds like he knew he had files on his second hard drive, whereas I have no idea.

Just wipe the damn thing, if you don't even know what you have in your hard drives, I'm sure they don't contain anything valuable.

That's what I figure anyway, and I don't really have much valuable on this computer other than some mediocre coursework projects.

If it isn't formatted, I don't think you can put anything on there anyways.

Just format it, Win 7 x64 isn't too expensive with a student discount I hear.

Right click it, click properties. The pie chart might show any used space.

If not, then...You can't use it, might as well go for the format. Had to ask about the C drive because wiping that is not conducive to computer use.

Alright, you lot are tech savvy so I need some help. Just been checking out my system and discovered I'm running Windows XP 32bit. Now, this makes my 4GB of RAM pretty pointless as it only detects 3.25GB of RAM if it's 32bit. Are there any solutions to this, short of getting a new 64bit OS?
The remaining .75 Gb of RAM is assigned to the bios so it can do things like talk to your graphics card. Although since 64 bit is designed to work with a minimum of 8 Gb RAM, I wouldn't bother upgrading quite yet
