300+ peasants in garisson?

I had about 75 troops in Castle garisson. Not sure when or why this happened but when I went to castle and checked garisson to donate troops I had over 300 peasants in addition to my garisson troops. Where did they come from?

There must have been a populist uprising while you were away. Check behind the barns and granaries to see if your soldiers are just passed out, sleeping or, more than likely, they ran away.

Cant say I ever had extra troops added for no reason. You can have the castle set to hire and train up troops however. Go into your manage your castle feature and check to see if you have this set to happen.

No I have it on irrigation and still though 300+ peasants in short time?

I don't know whether AI lords donate to player holdings, but if they do that's a (remote) possibility.
