erm, i've just tried to download the mod - the 3.0 was fine

now i've tried to download the patch and its dead in the stick (as this thread suggests) so i've clicked on this emergency link and since it has already been downloaded 10 times i can't download it.

can someone please rehost it for me

You don't need to have a Premium Account on Rapidshare to make file downloadable more than 10 times. You just need a free account
