How it Works
At the beginning everyone starts as a Cadet in the d'Infanterie de Ligne. As you progress up the ranks and reach Adjudant you have the option of joining the Imperial Guard, however, you will be demoted back to Cadet. The Imperial Guard will be controlled separately to the regular line, under the command of the Imperial Guard officers. If you do not wish to do this you may continue on your way up the ranks in the regular line! If you have any questions feel free to ask me!
Expectations
When in the regiment, or when in possession of any in game or steam title that relates you to the regiment you are to act professional and sensible at all times. Failure to do so can result in regimental punishments. You are to follow all orders and show loyalty and professionalism when at events or other official regimental events. Failure to appear at events and training require a valid reason which is to be reported to your officer. We as a community do not expect you to take regiment matters over family or real life matters.
Roles
We have many roles available in the regiment, and the company. We are constantly looking for new members to join us in future battles. As mentioned in our 'How it Works' section, upon joining you are placed into the Line Infantry as a cadet, and upon the rank of Adjutant you have the options of being demoted and joining the Imperial Guard or stay and become an officer of the line! We do not just have combat roles available. Our regiment is constantly looking for musicians and flag bearers to accompany our men into battle and to strike fear into the hearts of our enemies! Like our Line Infantry flag bearers and musicians need to earn their spot in the Imperial Guard and can do such a thing by proving themselves in battle and by going up our ranks!

History
The 2nd Grenadiers was formed in 1806 and named the 2e Régiment de Grenadiers-à-Pied de la Garde Impériale. Unfortunately, this regiment was disbanded in 1809, however, was reformed shortly after in 1810.
In 1804 the Guard numbered eight thousand troops, and by the time Napoleon began his invasion of Russia in 1812 the Guard numbered little under 100,000 troops. The Guard had its own artillery and cavalry along side infantry to support Napoleon in battles to come. All were much superior to regular French units.
