24 hour ban?

Hello there.

I was apparently banned for 24hrs after I sardonically used the word 'f@ggit' once in-game. Now 27 hours later I'm still banned. I'm wondering when it is that I will be getting unbanned. Are these '24hr bans' on an automatic timer or do they require someone to manually edit and re-edit the ban list for them?
