Which companion? They go negative if they are bad personality, don' thave a fief or are martial and you keep losing battles.
I created a sort of cheat if the situation is tight: give him troops every day and you get a triple relation bonus.
If you are being attacked by many armies, lower the campaign AI in options.

No, those are just unused WSE scripts that are always in the rgl.
Did you send an RGL? I'll test out the savegame this afternoon.
 
It is Onuist, and as I found out, he has martial perso. It must be that, coz I had few battles and didn't lost any. I will try what you said about giving troops. Thanks, gdwitt, for answer and this great reworked mod.
 
If anyone else gets some crazy game crashes, please PM me or post in the bugs thread below.
It seems there is something fishy about savegames especially.
I advise that all players save to a new file every other day as some savegames fail.

I plan to release the next version of the submod by Friday or Saturday the 23 of January.
It has some improvements from Lord Golias on scripts and triggers which should improve stutter time and decrease crashes.

I have improved the triggers, am working on a new blunt orders script and continue to refine item_kinds.
It will be savegame compatible with the current mod v23.
 
None of the mods require WSE.
If you'd like to play and have actual advice on game aspects, use Brytenwalda Reworked.
You won't need WSE.
However, the flails won't seem realistic and your troops will need to actually have blunt weapons for you to call the blunt weapons order.
If they aren't equipped properly, they will fight with fists as in Brytenwalda.
In WSE, I can call operations to force them to use their weapons in a blunt manner.
Capturing prisoners is a great way to succeed in Brytenwalda Reworked.
 
Strange.

For some reason, I downloaded it, extracted it to modules, and it's still not showing up in the list of modules. The Brytenwalda Reworked folder is in the module folder though.


I got the Brytenwalda Reworked no music, the music, and the patch.
 
First look again for a strange name and be sure that you have the mod set up like other mods in the Modules folder.
As soon as you open version 23, you should see about 20 text files and some other junk that's not important for now.
It won't show to Steam unless you have all the right files named correctly.
They should have been that way by default, but a paste over of the patch might have messed things up.
Make sure you have a file named module.ini and item_kinds1.txt.
If that doesn't work, maybe you have an old exe and need game variables.

Here's what I have. C:\Program Files (x86)\Mount&Blade Warband\Modules\Version 23 Standalone-5994-23a\BWReworkedv23Standalonenomusic122315

I'm running M&B Warband downloaded straight from the taleworlds website. With an activation code from GOG(Bought it there, not enough save files so downloaded from taleworlds for mods)

I have those two files.



I will probably try to redownload and try it before and after pasting patch into BW folder.
 
BWReworkedv23Standalonenomusic122315 should be nested under Modules, not  a folder called Version 23 Standalone-5994-23a.
Before you apply the patch, try to launch the mod and see if you have set it up right.
Then copy over the patch.
 
It seems to be crashing quite alot, especially when starting a battle, and it glitches every little while causing all of the words currently on the screen to go wacko, but otherwise it's working.(I know, it's not finished so I should expect this.  :wink:  )

Probably my favorite mod I've played! I love all of the stuff it adds, I feel like most of it should be in vanilla M&B Warband!
 
Crashing alot is not a feature that should be happening.
Send your rgl_log.txt if you see any red messages before the crashes occur.
Why don't you get ready for the next release?
I have a patch coming tonite and a major new upgrade out next week that might fix many of the bugs.

There doesn't seem to be any red text right before the crash, it's mostly when entering a battle. I got this for my brother too, and now he can't enter any battle without crashing. Mine has mostly stopped crashing.

Can't wait for the new patch/features!


EDIT: He went through and tested everything, and it only crashes when he starts a battle on his Heavy Nord Horse!
 
The only thing I can think might cause the crashes would be the use of the wrong normal item_kinds1 with the flails. This still shouldn't cause a crash. You rgl_log would be useful to see.

Patch Delay!!
Lord Golias has introduced a number of great changes to the module system.
However, this will delay the introduction of the new version.
I was going to introduce a patch today, but found that even small changes are not savegame compatible.
It will take me several hours to reconcile this.
I won't have time to tie this all together until this coming Thursday.
I am sorry for the new delay but the new game will be worth wait.

I can't really troubleshoot without an opcode or error message.
That rgl_log didn't show any errors. Ignore the failed to load messages as that's just WSE stuff I haven't turned on.
Vector is a Brytenwalda variable that the AI uses to figure out where to head with a formation.
If the AI can't figure out where to head, it might be getting confused.
If you have time, note at the beginning of the next battle what formation order you called.
Notice how many enemy parties there are and how fast they are moving.
If you want to avoid this bug, i suggest fighting for now with no formation. At battle start, try f4 f8, or "fight with no formation".
You may even want to tell the troops where to move.
Your troops will actually do better except against cavalry or very large enemy parties.

There does seem to be a bug when you fight large battles and turn formations on and off but it has never caused a crash on my system.
 
I'm headed off for the night, but I just thought I'd say, that happened when I'm fighting for another army. I didn't use any formations/orders/etc.
 
Watch for the error when you fight for your own group.
Were you doing Freelancer?
That's an entire other mission template and script.
Specifics are king in any testing.
 
No quest, no nothing. I started a normal singleplayer game, joined his army, and have been in it for the last 300 or so days.
