2 questions about lords

1. Does anyone know when freed prisoners after a battle go to your fellow lords and when not?
I mean the freed prisoners after a battle, when you can chose to add them to your own warband. Usually non-selected troops go to a fellow lord who fought with you in the battle. Now I'm playing with the diplomacy mod and they just seem to disappear. I'm confused. Is it mod-related?

2. Do all lords replace losses according to the same rules?
I'm with the Vaegirs and find it odd that most fellow lords field armies of 60 to 80, while the Nords all run around with 100 to 180 men, even though we have been at peace for the longest time, while the Nords were constantly at war.
In the last war against them, I had one nord-lord (around 400 renown, 1 village) as prisoner, who was released when we made peace. Next time I saw him he had already 110 men, while a fellow vaegir lord (around 600 renown, 2 villages) was still at 80. Something is weird.

1. Lords have personalities. I don't know for sure, but I think it will also decide if they recruit prisoners (mostly I think they might refuse to hire troops that aren't from their original faction). This is likely why it seems random - it depends on the lord (I think).

2. Lord party size increases for each fief they hold. What is likely is that the Khergit lords you see are either: a) lacking fiefs / are poor, or b) have been through too many battles and have yet to replenish their army.

They should join a lord just as they did in Native.  It's been awhile since I played, but I hadn't noticed any difference between Native and Diplomacy.  Maybe some kind of glitch?

I always thought lords replenished men very quickly!  A lord I've beaten on the field shows up again 2 days later with a ton of new troops!  However, they're low level troops--recruits and Tier 2 troops--and they level slowly.  I figured that was a fair enough exchange!

It does depend on what kind of fief they have: lords with towns will generally gain more troops than lords with just a village.

That's a possibility. The lord in question was Rochabarth, who is originally swadian, and who had an all swadian army, even though he is with the vaegirs now. We freed about 15 high level vaegir troops, and I let him have them, because he was low on manpower. But they didn't show up in his army. It's strange design decision though to make a lord refuse reinforcements.
