2 problems regarding models in wings 3d and textures

I started reskinning clothing for my mod, but there is something wrong with the shading. The skins turn out all weird colored during night.
And secondly i've modeled a hat, and the top surface of the cilinder i used doesn't show in brf edit and in game, but i shows in wings 3d?

Really have no idea what you did....but try rechecking the materials you used. You could have possibly checked a wierd flag, picked the wrong shader.... Also, check your dds. It shouldn't be DXT5 unless you have an alpha channel. Try using DXT1 if you haven't already. As for the hat, select all the faces in wings, then export selected and overwrite the .obj. Then re-import it into OpenBRF.
 
hmm i solved the wings problem, i used smooth on the 2 surfaces and now they appear normal  :???: don't know why, but that's solved!
but i still have a problem with the textures, they are in dxt1 format i use the tex_mul_color_alpha shader.

Check the material flags, it should be the number 700, which is like blend, blend add, and blend multiply off the top of my head...
