2 hander or 1 hander with shield

Hey everyone. I prefere 2hander wep. What your opinion?

2 handed weapon is superior. Just make sure you have at least 30 agility and 10 athletics or ranged units will kill you.

I generally use a bastard sword and a shield, so I have protection from arrow and I can switch from 1 and 2 handed quickly.
Also have a awlpike for stopping enemy horses.

Well... it depends... If I play Warband I like to have a shield and a fast 1h weapon. If I play native I could do with about anything.

It just makes the combat so much different lol. Specially when your agility is high , and you feel like Achilles

The bastard sword functions as a one-hander on horseback and a two-hander on foot, so it actually behooves you to use it with a shield while mounted.  On foot I just wear the shield on my back.

Now i am using shortened military sythe (or however u spell it) a reinforced knightly shield on the back and kherit arrows and some good bow i can't remember the name of

Well... My equipment will be something like this: bastard sword + shield + lance (mounted knight), 1h sword + shield + something (dismounted knight) 2 handed/glaive + throwing axes/javelins (barbarian), 1h or 2h weapon (yes, sometimes like 1h sword, no shield) + bow + 2 packs of arrows (ranger) and thats it... Mounted and dismounted equipment will be different. I'm playing on "poor knight" like character now... Armor is looking poor and that way.

I use the same weapons as my fellow men: 1 Boarding Shield, 1-handed axe and a Crossbow. It's good to wipe out pesky archers *gg*

In Native i prefer a 2hand sword and a bow. Why? The Bow is really powerful

Huskarl shield, single handed waraxe or a decent nordic sword. Maybe some throwing axes. A lil' off for fighitng cavalry, but when they're stalled with yo're men, its just hack hack hack till they're horses fall down.

You do know there's polearms and throwing weps too. If you see a difference between bow an cbow, why not with throwing weapons and other ranged weapons?
