The 85th Light Foot (Buck's Volunteers). Yes, This Regiment served under Wellington in the Peninsular campgain and then later in the war of 1812. There were other notable engagements outside of the Napoleonic Wars too.

Later the 85th and the 53rd combined under military reforms into the King's Shropshire Light Infantry. This Regiment served in the world wars and the very last engagement was in the Korean War, which my Grandfather was in, during the war.

The King's Shropshire Light Infantry was then later combined into the Light Infantry... which my dad served in Northern Island...

So I am the descendant of this Regiment... However I am already part of this Regiment, serving under the Command of Colonel Subject 18... as the Regiment was founded June 12, 2012
