Hey guys,
I've been playing 1866 for a while now, and i like it very much.
If you would like i could draw up some sketches, i have a lot of 'ideas' that could make this mod even better, so maybe you could use some of them for the next version.
I was thinking mainly on native american stuff.
Or i can just post those ideas like this...It's your call

Just saw this thread now. It's times like these that one wishes they weren't already committed.
That should be quoted and put at the top of every mod's main page.

Sad but true.
I've spend hundreds of hours offering my advice to people who just up and vanish before even finishing what they were working on. Most of the time when I get something, it will get 80% of the way, but it will be so flawed that I'll have to scrap it. I should just do it myself from the start, but .....everyone in a while...you'll find a real diamond in the rough. I was the same way, so I'm foolishly hopeful that the next potential helper might be too.
Most things in life are like that. You will suck at something initially, but if you are persistent and passionate, you will improve and soon become competent, maybe even a master of your art.
Now that I don't have as much free time, I make a basic judgment of someone's current talent, passion, and capacity for teaching themselves in their first few sentences they write. I save myself a lot of time that way.
Yeah, generally you can tell who's not a moron from sentence structure and the like. For example, this looks like it was written Trigg Palin.

Umm.. I mean I know western music for the mod. You don't have to be mean to me. I also want to know how to mod and I have some voice acting. I want to help because I think this is the best mod for M&B. I also really want to know how to mod.

Whats your porblem? Dude I dont even know you. I'm here for a western mod not to talk to some guy who wants to make fun of me ON THE INTERNET.
Unfortunately we don't have time to both teach people how to mod and work on this mod. Additionally, most of the easy stuff has been done already.
We need people who are already competent and self starters. Thank you for the offer though.

Feel free to pick some of that up and do that voice acting you were talking about. You could also come up with additional dialog, or transpose over text in game to be vocalized.

hi guys im new here, i played ur awesome mod for a little now, and i have to say,
U GUYS ROCK!
just wanted to let u guys know
but if u need help with making textures, outfits, for the clothing, i can do some, although i aint good with mapping textures, i mena u give me a 3d file and i need to figure out a way to get the texture on it, that is not my cup of tea, i have experienced, can try to improve my map skills though if u guys really need it, but preferably not
So, i can make some textures provided u have something for me i can paint it over, if u get what im saying.
i should warn u i am not available all the time, but every once in a while i have some spare time i could use for u guys

no i didnt mean i was no good, just the mapping thing i havent dug into it much yet, but i can, dont need much help from u guys, i just meant it would be easier if i could just make a texture and u guys map the whole thing, cos i am not so good at that, but i can work on that if u want
