1866 - Help Needed

My friends and I are available to do some voice acting and recording on decent quality equipment. I've done this for mods in the past, and have samples available. (http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=938 http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=993)

The equipment we'll be using this time will actually be slightly better. We're all fairly accentless, or American accented for Europeans, and native english speakers.

http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,49048.0.html is the original thread I had established for voice acting and it has a lot of details and samples and such. Basically, I just need a pm with the scripts, and we'll record each line several times each. We'll have either two or three male voices, and one, maybe two female voices. We'll also have some instruments and musical talent, maybe for saloon noises of some such.

Anyway, take a listen to the samples and if you're interested send a PM with some details of exactly what you want.

Give this guy some work, please!

Well done voice acting and some more new sounds add a lot of value to a mod

Hey guys, I really love your mod and I can say without doubt it's the best m&b mod I've ever seen.
I wondered if you still need help with your quick battles, because I would love to help you with that. I'm not known with modding or anything like that, but I heard scene creating is an easy thing to learn. So can I help you by creating some scenes?

Sure. But you better play around with scene editing first and when you have some experience with it, you can still apply.

Hello there, I like to do video recordings, so if you guys ever wanted a recorded demo of the game, feel free to shoot me a message. I have a copy of FRAPS and can get some pretty good quality videos with it, I can post up a small sample later if you like.

If the devs were wondering, the new gear we're gonna be working on is a Shure SM-57 mic, a behringer mic preamp, and then soundforge 9 and some other commercial programs for post effects.

Allright, I'll practise some with it first. I'll let you know when I'm getting the hang of it.

Hi guys,

I wondered if you wanted some skins I've made? You might already have similar stuff in by now but I thought I'd post them up here just in case. They're retextures for the OSP steampunk clothing pack but they should work with the vanilla MnB models too. Let me know if you're interested.

I can't mod, so here is my contribution.

A couple of songs i see fit for the mod:

A Gringo Like me - Ennio Morricone

A way of life - Hans Zimmer

Red Warrior - Hans Zimmer

Ronin - Hans Zimmer

Just google these, look them up on YouTube w/e to find them.

Spong i liked the first one. The second can be used for farmers though.

Peddarn we can't use copyrighted songs

I have Maya if that's compatible (made by the same people who made 3ds Max). I can model animate and texture decently. The only problem is, I've never modded Mount and Blade, so I'm not sure what the format is or how to view the files. I've worked on mods for CoD:WaW and Fallout 3 though.

Here's some links to  few models I've done in my free time recently:
A Subdivisonal head without eyes mouth and ears. Dunno why I didn't put them lol

The tool used for MaB is openBRF. It opens and saves the .brf files used for models in MaB. You can import static models as .obj files to openBRF. With Maya you should be able to export .obj files.
Animations and animated models (like clothes and stuff) are imported from .smd files. I'm sure there's also a .smd plugin for Maya. Animated models have to use the MaB skeleton. You've got to export the skeleton with openBRF, import it into your modelling programme and rig your model to it. There's also an auto-rig function in openBRF, which works well in most cases. Then you just have to import it as .obj and use auto-rig.

Contributions from modellers are always welcome. You can model whatever you want (if it fits to the time frame) and contribute it, or you can ask us which models we need and we'll give you a task (including reference pictures, if you want). Whatever you want.
You don't have to import it into MaB, you can just send us the .obj and .dds (or whatever) file. We'll of course show you how it looks in game, if you want.

Alright cool, I'll play around with those a little bit and I'll send you something and see if you like it.

Those models are pretty bad (especially the first one), but if you get better, we might have a use for you.
