Grandmaster Knight
Hello all,

A few of you might have seen my on Native or on Mount and Musket before.

We obviously have skill requirements, basically knowing how to follow orders and having some concept of the game is all that is needed, the rest is pretty much straight forward to learn...

I've decided to make a skirmishing regiment, not a whole roleplay serious one, but if you are a casual or serious player and are active, wanting to play along with us, you are welcome. Basically, as long as you don't **** about, you're mature and has a sense of humour as well as being active, we shouldn't have a problem!

The Prince of Wales's Own Civil Service Rifles were a regiment in the Volunteer Force and Territorial Force of the British Army from 1798 to 1921; they saw active service in the Boer War and World War I. Formed in 1798 as the Bank of England Volunteers, after many name changes, including their main title, The Prince of Wales's Own Civil Service Rifles.

This the wolfpack clan?
Good luck!

Nah it isn't - just something I felt setting up

Honestly, though, having seen the 6 or 7 members that joined from other regiments and their attitude, its rather strange, childish. Those guys that joined had left their regiment because they had disbanded...

It seems that MM isn't really a thing that you can just casually have fun on as a group. Unfortunately, its all too serious compared to Native, I don't feel comfortable here and not worth the effort, so i'll hand leadership over to Mardam.

A clan is what you and it's members make it.

So if you want to have a less serious regiment, you just have to make it so

I know there are some regiments out that there aren't really serious, for example 95th rifles. Obviously they have a clear rank system, but AFAIK they are a lot looser and are not troubled by the "We are the best" syndrome, unlike many other regiments.

The exact reason MaHuD to why I shouldn't bother. There isn't a mix in this community. You are either really competative, screamy, roleplaying type player or you are a regiment/clan that doesn't go any where.

Time and time again, I come back to Mount and Musket, this time I wanted to see how I could manage a simple skirmish regiment. Turns out 4/5 of the regiment are screamers, players who are barely teenagers and have a mind of a 8 year old... I just want to play with matured players who actually do give a crap about doing well, however are not so serious about being the best. Theres infact no "Harmony" or "togetherness" when all that players care about is trying to get a better rank...

Hm. From what you typed it seems to me that 95th would be an excellent choise for you. They have a line, rifle and arty. So also no shortage on that things to do.
To them, the most important thing is playing together, winning is nice, but winning together is the best.

You are giving up way to early and havent tried hard to make this work. I, when I first created my regiment I started as a skirmisher regiment, thinking this would be easy and would give good experience. It turned out to be hell, with immature, trolly, screamy members who didnt give a **** and only wanted to be promoted and ****. It took me atleast 1 month to get a good acitve player base which is when I formed my regiment into the 18e. It took months to get what I have now, a loyal, active, fun, mature-ish regiment and we have a real togetherness with an atmoshpere that many have said better than most regiments. From the birth of my regiment, it has been nothing but hard graft and stress to finally turn it into something so brilliant. A total of 7 months, I am not the most experienced regiment leader in MM nor the best, but if you stick with it things will turn around and if you could only last a few days well, it would have been better for you just to have not made a regiment.

Infact, I didn't create it by my self - I helped create it, however I was just the one who set up the topic. I only had to declare I left because of this. There are others who would happily take command anyway so its not as if its a loss at all.

I didn't start up the regiment, there were many others than formed it, like I said, I only created the topic and was nominated as leader - having had ex 1st_KGL members join however, things changed, I did not like it at all. Besides, its clear that MM isn't my thing, with reasons I wont express here.
