I just joined, joined the human team, played for 1 minute only shooting a bot or 2, and got perma banned out of nowhere. I'd very much like to know what I did wrong, or just get unbanned.

As is your officers trolling other regiments teamspeaks impersonating me, you cheating and breaking the rules in events, your members bad conduct earning them permanent bans on multiple servers, especially the official ones! Also your member Moogle assassinating people in events due to his history with the 60th was particularly pathetic! The list really just goes on and on...

Well, I will not deny that there is a rather large number of trolls and misbehaving members in the reg, especially in the past. So I understand that you would be biased against me if I were to show any signs of misbehaviour.

Been playing on this server some, seems pretty fun. Today though, I logged in, chose my soldier, ran 20 feet, was kicked and am now banned. Do players get banned just for joining these days?

NM I figured out what happened. I was just clicking auto-assign as I logged in and I guess it put me on the wrong team, at which point the admin must have switched me, then I spawned on the correct team. Then the game flashed the team-selection menu at me again and I just hit auto-assign to get it out of my face and I guess it put me back on the wrong team, at which point I must have been kicked and banned.

I understand your rules about AI commanders and such and had I been given the chance to figure out what was going on I would have placed myself on the proper team. I assume I was temp-banned for an hour, which is pretty inconvenient as I am now leaving for school. I am saddened that before anyone spoke to me, before being kicked, I was banned. Seems the norm in Napoleonic Warfare is to just hand out the bans, as I was temp-banned from the US Official server without any warning for back-handing my roommate's character in game. Now I have learned that you should not even backhand your friend. I respect that rule. I was not a disruptive player, I respect server rules and the people who run them, and I play the games to have fun. If the admins could just take the time to say "Hey buddy, we don't do that here" I could apologize for my transgression and move forward. Sure the basic rules are easy to read but the finer points must be communicated.

If admins don't have the patience to help new players learn the ropes, then they don't have the patience to be admins. So far my view of the Napoleonic Warfare community is relatively negative as it seems new players are viewed with derision.

More or less the reply I was expecting. I would like to point out that in this case I was well aware of the rule and unintentionally broke it, I was not trying to force myself onto the AI team, I was just trying to get into the game quickly. No amount of reading the rules would have prevented the ban I received today.

Being that this is your server and someone you are associated with pays the bills you are well within your rights to be as draconian as you please. It's like when you get hit with an overdraft fee from the bank and when you ask about it they say "It is not our responsibility to ensure there is sufficient funds within the account." This may be true but replies like this put responsibility solely on the individual and absolve the organization. The bank who fed me this line later sent me a check for $1.73 (of the $80 they took) as part of a settlement for improperly ordering the transactions in order to maximize their late fees. Even though it WAS my mistake for not watching my money, they participated in aggravating the situation. In the same vein, I agree with everything you said above in the quote, I admit that it was my mistake that resulted in my temp ban and it is my responsibility to keep it from happening in the future. However, immediately jumping to passing out bans without some sort of due process does more than teach a lesson, it leaves a bitter taste in the mouths of the pubs which servers depend on to stay fun.

I apologize for choosing this forum to vent frustration not entirely directed at your organization or any one person specifically. Thank you for maintaining a server that is fun to play on.

I would like to apply for an un-ban from the 15th servers. I was banned from the servers without breaking the rules, on a matter that did not involve me breaking any server rules. My regiment participates in events on your (admirable) servers and I would appreciate being able to use them.

I've read the rules of the server and I always followed them... but one day (6.2.12) I "wasted building points"....
I didnt even knew that this rule exists... I just build some sandbags to save my comrades and the admins oppinion was that I wasted them...
I dont know if he just banned me temporary but I am banned until today... I love that server so much because its fun to play on it and
i hope u will reprieve me

, about a week ago when i was playing for no reason the admin at the time changed me over to the defending team when i ask why his answer was 'because' when spoke out against this i was permanently banned without warning, if possible i would very much appreciated being allowed back onto the server as it was and still a very fun and active server

You need to sort out your admins or this server is going to die. In about 10 minutes I saw roughly 5 people get perma banned, one for simply saying that he was annoyed at the amount of human players on the bot team and jokingly saying 'they should all be banned'. I said that I thought the admin was overreacting, at which point the admin seemed to lose all sanity and told me that if I didn't stop 'defending the trolls' I would be banned. I said that I wasn't defending trolls, simply because I didn't think they were trolling, rather the admin was being oversensitive. the last message I typed was "lets just agree that you and I have different definitions of trolling", at which point I was perma banned. My in-game name was 'baggins' if you want to go through the logs and verify my story.

I can't remember the admins name I was more focused on the game and it was more of a discussion on the side but unless you want to run this server into the ground I would rethink the admin team, pretty unacceptable to be honest.

I found myself being banned because the admin said i was this betty bomber person. i said no and they were making accusations. Apparently i was being rude when i feel i was expressing my opinion. The thing i said before i got banned was that the admin should stop making accusations i feel this is unfair because i dont think this was a good enough to ban me . Please allow me on this server and tell one of your admins to not be so judgemental during games :L

Everyone who is banned is banned for a good reason and there are no rogue admins on the server that i am aware of so you clearly earned your ban in one way or another. That is all.

Have you ever played on the server? I often play on the Aus, US and European severs and easily the humans vs bots is the worst admin-ed server of the lot. An allied defender was trolling by destroying defences and the admin did nothing, then people have been banned for using explosive crates "no rouge admins", give me a break, try playing for once.

That is not accurate.  We may have had the same experience, but are not the same person.    I got banned on my 3rd time on the server.  Apparently, as stated above, the auto select doesn't work very well and that is how I got into trouble.  What purpose would it serve to have a second name??  This accusation can easily get out of hand.  Can't you check the IP addresses for Wolten and myself off of our accessing the server???

For the sake of the many players who enjoy our server and obey the rules we will not tolerate any trouble makers of any kind or give them more chances to spoil everyone else`s playing experience. That is all.

Literally that sentence, go back in the logs and prove me wrong. In game name was 'baggins', occured on the 21st of Febuary around 7pm New Zealand time. You try and call that 'well earned' all you want, but it sure as hell wouldn't have happened on any server with admins that weren't oversensitive 10 year olds.
