15th Humans vs Bots Server​

THE 15th REGIMENT OF FOOT`S GLORIOUS LAST STAND AGAINST THE BOT MENACE!​

Welcome fellow NW players! The 15th Regiment of Foot are now hosting our own siege server 15th_Humans_vs_Bots! The goal when playing on this server is for a bunch of stalwart human players to hold out in a make shift defensive compound against a bot horde (2 bots for every human player) for 20 minutes each round! We are already hosting 47 custom made maps for this game mode and have many more planned for the near future!

Do not waste your time posting unban requests here unless there are any extenuating circumstances concerning your permanent ban! Do feel free to make intelligent comments about the server, the maps and to report any trouble makers on the server. If you are reporting a trouble maker be sure to tell us the exact time in GMT and give supporting evidence in the form of screenshots etc. If you are unable to provide the time of an offence and offer some visual evidence of a player`s wrong doing then we are unlikely to be able to do anything about the matter.

Server Rules​

1 - No more than 2 players are to lead the bots at any time.

2 - Admins will swap players if there are too many people leading the bots or they have chosen specific people to lead the bots for that round. If players repeatedly swap back then this will lead to temp bans for the human players betraying us to the robot menace!

3 - Everyone is obliged to have fun and strongly encouraged to aid their fellow man in every way they can in humanity`s most desperate hour of need!

4 - No talking about how when you get out of this hell you are going to make it back to Blighty, marry your sweetheart and take up your old job at the viagra factory... because you know if you do you won`t be making it back alive!

5 - Players are not to hassle admins to change maps, enable cavalry or alter any other settings.

6 - Anyone trolling the defences or wasting sapper points will be dealt with by the use of permanent bans.

7 - Any player who is being constantly offensive to other players will be temporarily banned or permanently banned depending upon the severity of the offences!

8 - Anyone using a deliberately offensive name will be permanently banned!

9 - Admins are not to use admin weapons or generally abuse admin powers without good cause or reason! If any admins are seen to be breaking these rules then report them on this forum along with exact dates and times in GMT of their offences! Do not waste our time in this matter or make false claims!

10 - There is a limit of one recruitment message to be made per round by each regiment. Multiple recruitment messages made by different people but for the same regiment will be treated as breaking this rule and will result in temporary or permanent bans.

11 - No arty griefing! Faliure to abide by this rule is likely to result in a temporary or permanent ban depending on the severity of the offences!

12 - No excessive bad behaviour of any kind! Admins will deal appropriately with anyone causing trouble on the server!

Glad you enjoy our server! For Americans and fans of the server from equally far away countries from our server`s host i am sure shooting is always easier than engaging in melee due to the high pings involved!

Would you want a script for your bots? Say, change the number of bots on team 2 in ratio the number of human players on team 1?
Or restrict team 2 for only "certified" players?

It's not a lot of work and could be done "server side", so that players don't need to download anything and can just play with the official NW module.

Well such a script would be useful but we use the server for a variety of purposes and often it turns out for whatever reason we need slightly more than  2 bots per human in order to mainatain the balance. All maps tend to vary in terms of difficulty etc and if the humans are UK and have rockets that massively effects the amount of bots needed to beat them!

It is good to have admins around anyways to stop people trashing the defences and trolling the arty etc. Balance issues are also hard to sort in terms of bot numbers because sometimes you get  a bunch of players who are more skilled than usual and they chop through a ton of bots!

I have horrible news! From about 9:15-9:30 PM EST a few admins, unlisted on this thread, spawned admin weapons, cheated, and freeze the entire server! Then about 9:30 PM EST, the admins perma banned everyone (30+ people)!  Such horrendous acts of admin abuse should not go unpunished! Although at least 4 admins were doing this, the most notably was something along the lines of "2otblehdlw." I expected better of this server

Edit: As of 9:45 PM EST there are only two (2) people on the server - I'm assuming that these are the offenders.

Good to see such prompt response. Now someone just has to unban the people who happened to be on the server during said time.

Also, kudos for the 15th. This is the first coop-server I've seen for a long time.

Thank you very much for the response and i obviously made a mistake taking on a new admin on the advice of one of the far more reliable admins... I will not be giving any further admin powers to anyone i cannot personally vouch for from now on! Rest assured the guilty parties will be perma banned and the unguilty ones will be unbanned!

All the people wrongly perma banned have been unbanned and the guilty party 2tes_OPB_Sdt_Dlw4456 with player ID: 393598 has been permanently banned on the server. I hope we get no more of these incidents of admin abuse and i strongly encourage all fans of the server to report any admin who misbehaves in such a fashion so that i can promptly remove them from their position and perma ban them from the server if necessary!

You need to choose you admins more carefully it seems. Its tough to find active and trustworthy admins though so good luck mate.

Well i only take on people as admins who come highly recommended or who i can vouch for personally. We are quite short on late night admins so sometimes i am not as careful as i should be in the selection process... But as far as finding trustworthy admins goes you are more than welcome to join us in our hard duties!

Extremely fun and one of the best servers around for Co-op gameplay on NW. I have played on this server countless times most days and every time it has been very enjoyable. I highly recommend playing on this server as you will not regret it one bit!
