Sergeant Knight at Arms
I have been playing the new patch and while the overall experience is possitive, there are some things that I dislike and some bugs I have found. I started a fresh game for this new playthrough.

* BUGs:
- My character skin is darker that I have selected when created It.
- Hideauts crash every time like people have mentioned.
- The fat characters people have mentioned, It is not happening in my current fgamw though.

* Positive changes:
- Not sure if I have had lucky on my current playthough but Snowballing looks better for me. Day 232 and just 2 towns have been conquered (more have been conquered but re-taked for original factions).
- It looks like economy have been nerfed a bit which is good because I was able to make tons of money in my other games bying and selling things. Now It is still possible but not as OP as before.
- NPCs look much better now.
- Cavalry units are more effective now and less dumb in Battle but cavalry AI still need work. Cavalry is still pretty dumb in tournaments and against other cavalry units.
- Performance is a bit better than before.
- Units are now easier to upgrade which is good.
- It looks like Forest Bandits have been nerfed, thanks for that.
- My Wife has not got pregant 2 times in a year which is a good Signal.

* Neutral:
- Skill leveling is now faster which is great but It is maybe too easy now.
- I am still having issues to find some armours to buy.
- Not sure about the new item prices. I think that armors should not be as expensive as they are but buildings should cost money.

* Negative:
- Infantry units AI is the worse AI I have seen in a Mont & Blade game and I am not overreacting. Before this patch, the AI was challenging if you do not abuse It but now It is extremely bad. NPCs refused to block incoming attacks and just spam attacks without any sense. Please make the infantry AI as good as before or even better.
- Some useless wars have been declared, for example, Vlandia is at war with Northen Empire.

This yes! I presume it is just a bug but the combat A.I has really been downgraded (even on challenging and with new game). I'll keep the BETA as the performance increases alone are worth it but this is a huge step backwards - the bots are just totally incapable now. Whereas previously a high level troop in the arena would give you a good fight!

If this stays this way I will not upgrade. E1.0.10 feels great to me. I don't want ultra fast XP, weak forest bandits and no way to conquer and keep a town

Uhmmm, I have not say anything regarding weak forest bandits, where have you read that?

Regarding Towns, I have been rewarded with a town yesterday while playing Beta 1.1.0.

Ultra fast XP just happens for some specific skills IMO.

About the AI...please writte on what difficulty did you play on?
Now in the setup of game in beta, we can setup diffuilty of AI. And question is, how these 3 options of AI difficuilty, have impact on game.

I think that this setup of AI difficuilty is not good idea for this type of game(I know Warband has sometning similar).

I started beta on MEDIUM AI difficuilty and the battles in game are much easier, than in early version. for example, I won 30 times tournaments without any problem. Battles with looters and others seems to me more easy too.

I have fat people, but i am thin as a stick myself after i once opened the V - menu.

I suppose they ate all the food and my character is starved out now.

it's actually not ultra fast. I played yesterday, some seems to go faster, but at the end I managed to get on my 2 main skills around 80 with 4 or 5 focus points and some attribute points. Guess I palyed around 5-6 hours.
I also like, if it takes a bit longer, but it's not too fast, and some stuff is way better in that patch. for example the companions are now way more specialiazed and not all with high skill in every weapon and stuff

I am not on that level after playing the same game more or less continuously since version 1.0.2 lol. I think that's crazy fast. But I admit I have my focus points put more broadly on different disciplines. I think they should stay with the focus points mechanic, not artificially speed up now

From what I observe, the body models are not changed visually, but must have something to do with the cloth physics and how they fit onto the body model. As once you turned the preview with clothes on, everyone gets bulky and curvy. The worst ones are townswomen in the taverns, some are not fat, but gigantic when I saw in one instance. and they also happen to have much amplified and overly exaggerated extrusion on their non-flat body parts...that are on their chest and hinds.

- Skill leveling is now faster which is great but It is maybe too easy now.

It's fine, you can get to 100/125 quite fast, but going higher is still no easy going, it takes a long time, especially in those skills that would really matter, like tactics.

Also, the change to 1 attribute every 4 levels = bad design choice in my eyes, it should be one every level until lvl 15, then 1 every other level. Otherwise it's close to impossible to get any attribute to 11, and by this having a chance to get a skill to 275++.

- The Charm skill especially is absurdly fast to level (no mods), it makes zero sense :grin:

- I did notice its a lot slower to train troops now, I guess because auto-resolving fights no longer gives an exp bonus(?)

- Tournaments are super easy to win now, but the reward is a bit lackluster. Yes, still worth doing earlygame (or out of boredom I suppose), but it doesnt even give you a cash prize if you dont count the betting. Tournament prizes are very often the same item too, which is a shame. I feel like they should be a bit more unique.

- I dont know if it's a coincidence, but the quest-type distribution on villages is weird. 90% of quests offered are of the type that reduce relation with a different village. Feelsbadman

- Please god, taleworlds, please fix the fact that selling trade-goods after a manual save does not grant Trade-skill exp

First of all bartering with AI makes no sense. It should work like it's in Total War where you can't know how your negotiating partner is thinking. Right now it's the worst.

I am stuck with that in my 1.0.10 game too. Those quests are often not worth doing and they are often the ONLY one available.

I am still having issues to find some armours to buy.

FFS Still? There are lots of different armors in the game, why the heck aren't they in the shops?

Glad i am not the only one who noticed that even on challenging the infantry combat a.i is a straight downgrade. They are so easy to beat now that tournaments are basically free loot drops.

Tested It in all difficulties with same result, the AI rarely blocks attacks now. The only guy who still blocks some attacks is a lord calles Uthery who has 240 skill for 1h+Shield and even with 240, he is still not great at blocking and still feels worse than elite units in 1.0.10.

OK, if we take the "continuously" literally, it doesn't strike you as concerning that you're not even close to halfway through the skill trees after 60-80 hours of play?

XP sliders are likely to be the solution. Someone's going to be unhappy whatever route they take with it.

Bump to the fact that combat ai is much reduced in the beta. Tournaments are a breeze now and offer no challenge whatsoever as the ai sits around, refuses to block, and often stays motionless for seconds at a time.

I still had some problems leveling some skills. I found trade to be quite tedious in leveling as the market wasn't recognizing my profits even though I was recording on paper purchase prices and was certain of it. While leadership is still really hard to level outside of raising armies which you don't do until the mid or later game.

I also cannot find good armor for the life of me. The best stuff I see in stores has values of like 24 max for body armor. My impression is that high tier bows are still very expensive? I get that they should be but going from a low tier bow of like 300 gold to a mid tier of 14,000 seems kinda drastic when the stat increases aren't huge.

Yes, infantry AI has been by far the worst change in this patch. Hopefully this will get fixed soon. Tournaments are really boring now and It is sad because infantry AI was really good before (at least if you do not use the circle abuse).

Regarding XP gain, I have to say that I was wrong when said that It is maybe too fast and easy to get. I am now close to day 300 and my highest skill is polearm at 106 and trade at 101. For some reason I have not had problems to increase trade skill fast at the begin. I have stopped to level up trade skill because I have too much money and I am getting 2K every day even when I have a pretty elite army with +70 knights (I am paying about 1500 or more in wages currently).

On the other hand, snowballing looks fixed, at leas in my current game only Sturgia has Lost 1 town while everyone still keep their initial towns. I have the feeling that the AI is maybe cheating a lot because I am seeing huge army stacks being created constantly but no sure. Maybe the AI is really good and these Lords are recruiting their armies without cheating much.
