13 men defending? what?

So I captured a castle from the Nords and placed 53 men as garrison. stayed there for a while and i get besieged by 800 men, they attack and I only have 13 men to defend it. i die and respawn with some health and i still only get 13 men. seriously, what the hell? i'd rather have 50 men vs a few hundred then 13 vs 87.

It sounds like you either need to turn the battle size up or get a few more levels in tactics. Or make a heroic last stand and hold them off long enough for Ragnar to arrive with all the lords at his back to mow them down.

battle size is on native's max, should i get the battlesizer mod? my highest tactics level is 5 lol

Yes, get the battlesizer. As long as you are limited to 100 you get a total of 100 troops for both sides together.

It's a m&b thing , the more they are on the strategic map , the more they are on the battle map -

Ex - 800 men on their side , 100 men on your side = 80 men or more for them , 10 or less for you

That would be better, at least i can have a wall of men hacking away at a bottleneck!

800 soldiers ,all coming at you at once ,while you have only 53 ? A good hit,one is down. A nice placed arrow and another's down.A quick slash and the third is dead and so on. And in no time ,you are going to face alone 600-700. OOOOkay ,let's say 500,but i'm not sure you can resist that much.

No not really. And even so, It's more fun killing off 100-200 then killing 15 and getting captured. Plus I don't need the trouble of going back to find my men, out of sentimental value, of course. 

Also, I was playing on easiest mode for that campaign, so yeah, quite manageable.

If you're that desperate, you need to join the Nords. Or just ask for some Swadian soldiers. That could work.

But it was a siege situation... Meaning all those troops would have to come up the ladder and fight you on the walls. Depending on layout you could even have your 50 be fairly safe from archers and force them to take you on one at a time... You know 300 spartan style.

Even without the easiest settings as the OP is using I have held off small hords with a smaller army, the problem comes when you have a fairly large army after you and they expect you to hold off their waves with only a handful of troops.... I would rather get all 50 of my troops and have to face wave after wave after wave of troops till either all of mine are dead or all 800 of theirs are dead...
