I really, really hate to disappoint such a good modeler, but all those armors with white parrots are not to use in mod (well, maybe for Polish lords)

Really, I know that Polish knights with red heraldic mails with giant white parrot on it looks sexy as hell and so, but there were hardly used by SOME of Poles at this time.
More heraldry was on banners and shields, while armors still remained mostly simple hauberks, lamellar and scale.
Don't worry, some of the equipment is made exclusively for lords/kings/dukes/etc. i.e. one of the horses with hungarian heraldry is to be used by the king, the prince and maybe some lords. It will help to distinguish the nobility, making the mod realistic. Soon I'll start making armors for regular and lower-end troops.

Still, most of the heraldry till some around late XIVth century was used on shields and banners while hardly on surcoats and, as you've said, mainly by some lords, dukes and so on.

Very often knights even hadn't got any heraldic, but only symbols that made them recognizable on the battlefield. So any kinds of birds, horseshoes, stars, chessboards, not very often with leading theme of white eagle on red field.

Really, I know that it is only game, but it seems like at that time our knights were rather like bunch of very ineffective (in meaning of look) but effective (in other meaning) heavy cavalrymen.

Yes, i know this, but we will make real difference(better resolution of units on the battlefield) between nation in the mod. That´s why we use unreal much state symbols from medieval....(Czech horse have lion from current state symbol, polish too, but is hard search right symbol in high resolution, this is on my opinion cosmethic adjustment). And i dont like this gray unit style used in native.... All nation use the same common items..... But Piast eagle we have :grin: But we can use some scale or lamellar armor for Polish Pan.

Some help is welcomed! If someone wish support our team and be a new member (we need new items, textures, Lithuanian and Croatian troop tree), than pleas send to me PM. Thanks!

I think Croatia was a part of Kingdom of Hungary in 1257, so you should include Hungary in game.
They were devastated by the Tatars (1241 and 1242) so they were building like crazy to renew the country for possible next Mongol invasion. (there should be allot of castles).
Also the king went more to heavy cavalry oriented army (Wikipedia rulz).

We were already discussing that topic and Lord Szentgyorgyi decided to make the Banate of Croatia ... Because separate troop trees under one faction would require too much work

Ok then. I was just thinking Croatia is a bit south Europe so he just adds the north part of Hungary (no need for diff. types of troop trees just make one?) or he can just add whole north part of Balkan (Bosnia and Serbia, maybe Bulgaria(?)) too.
Guess that's too much work :grin:

Hmmm... No... Croatian and Hungarian troops were very different and so was the heraldry

Those territories are out of the maps borders

Well Bosnia is on the map. And sure is the north part of Serbia (at least (you can see where Sava and Dunav meet))
And maybe add Slavonia? :smile:

No, we are sure now witch new faction be in next release. 1) HRE 2) Hungary 3) Bohemia 4) Poland 5) Galitskoe Duchy 6) Lithuania 7) Teutonic order and 8. Croatian Banate. Bulgaria is out of map range, Golden horde too (but mongolian horde with 100+ units be used in next release too). I´m create new list of setlerments (more than 70 villages, castles and cities, Szentgyörgyi will be happy he he) so that all map area be used.

Hi, I´m create croatian troop tree, if you wish repair it (czech language is similar to croatian, but i´m not sure with gramatik), or create complete new troop tree and then send it to me (PM or to my email [email protected]), thanks!
Croatian Troop tree:
Infantry line:
1) Croatian_Seljak 2) Croatian_Ratnik(warrior axe) 3) Croatian_Kopljevalac (spearman) 4) Croatian_Plemic_Ratnik(foot noble)
                                                                                      5) Croatian_Macevaljac (swoordsman)
Horseman line:
1) Croatian_Seljak 2) Croatian_Ratnik(warrior axe) 3) Croatian_Konjanik(horseman) 4) Croatian_Plemic(mounted noble)
                                                                                  4) Croatian_Vitez (knight)
Archer line:
1) Croatian_Seljak 2) Croatian_Seljacki_Strijelac(peasant archer) 3) Croatian_Strijelac 4) Croatian_Elita_Strielac
                                                                                                                                        4) Croatian_Montirana_Strielac(mounted skirmisher)
for Croatia I use 12 units slot (If you create better troop tree, than I be very pleased)

just 1 thing. I suggest you make both spearman and swordsman top tier. (so you can have good cavalry protection and good infantry)

                                          >spear militia ->spearman
                    >footman -> >sword militia ->swordsman
(ex. recruit ->                                                                      )
                    >skirmisher ->archer....

just so you get the picture.

for Croatia I use 12 units slot (If you create better troop tree, than I be very pleased)

Here, it's fixed

Thanks!!!! :wink:  In czech is elitní , very similar.... For Croatian horseman i plane equip Konjanik as middle cavalry(studded lether, mail shirts etc..), Plemic with sword, shield and javelin, but  heavy armored (mail hauberk, banded armor, guard helm....) and Vitez with heavy lance, sword, shield and covered heraldic horse and surcoat (as classical knights). Can i use for Vitez great helms? Or be more realistic some non full closed helmets (some like Guard helmets or Mail coif from native?)
