[105th Regiment]-[Eu/NA]-[Weekly Events]

Users who are viewing this thread

Welcome to our forum post, my name is John and I'll be telling you a little bit about our clan.
Should you have any questions feel free to post them underneath in the comment section and I will answer them as soon as possible.

The 105th Regiment was founded on the 16th of January 2018 and is ever-growing with us hosting weekly events for Arma 3, Mordhau and M&B Bannerlord which our members can sign up for.
Our events include casual clan-internal and competetive clan vs. clan battles all of which take place in a friendly environment of people from all over Europe, North America and Asia.
Our members can host their own events with the leadership providing any support that might be needed. Our dedicated Servers, which are used for official events, are always accessable to our members.
Due to the fact that we have been a clan for over 2 years now, we have gathered a significant amount of experience making us an exceptionally well organized clan:

A dedicated command team to help keep our system running.
A dedicated team of moderators to help keep rowdy teenagers at bay.
A leadership that is not made up of overly self-loathing pricks but actual people.
Ranks for you to climb if you want to put in the effort.
The opportunity to have your opinion taken seriously in a large community.
A well thought-through system for new members that keeps nasty people out of the clan.

In the 105th all events are non-mandatory, meaning that our members can sign up for them if they want to.
We have a full understanding of the fact that real life comes first and that the time spent with us should first and foremost be fun (we're a gaming community after all).

How we operate during events

During events we have a well balanced mix of a casual and serious atmosphere. While we prioritize providing a fun experience for our members we also maintain a certain amount of discipline.
At the beginning of an event everyone will be split into squads which are lead by squad leaders. As a regular member all you need to worry about is following your squad leaders instructions.
This might include telling you to defend a certain position or attacking a certain enemy. We, in the 105th are all about teamplay. Your personal K/D means very little to us. What counts is how well you adapt to our policy of "having your clanmates back".

How to join us

Join our Discord Server and we will contact you there asking if you want to join. Once you've decided that you want to be part of us you will have a "recruitment talk" with one of our recruiters, in which they will explain everything you need to know aswell as answer any additional questions you might have.
Once you finish your recruitment talk you will have 30 days to prove to us that youwill make for a proper 105th member by simply attending a few of our events and not being a dickhead. Passing your "30-day period" will make you a fully fledged regimental member.

What we expect of you

Abiding by the rules of the regiment, taking responsibility for your actions and following your squad leaders instructions during events are what we expect all of our members to be able to do.
Don't be full of yourself. We appreciate if you have ideas on how to improve our system and we will gladly listen to all of them but sometimes accepting that there are people who know better than you is the best way forward.

For those interested in our backstory

Holdfast: Nations At War

We started out in January 2018 playing Holdfast: Nations at War, which we thoroughly enjoyed until we didn't.
Playing 3 events each week in which we practiced together and fought other clans in large scale 60 vs 60 1 hour long events.
Our very first steps can only be described as very far from how we operate nowadays but they helped us learn a great deal.

Arma 3

After 9 months we were burnt out from HF:NaW and decided to move on to Arma 3 which we are wholeheartedly enjoying to this day.
Playing as Russian, American or European armed forces we have played up to 60 hand crafted missions and spent many hours playing the gamemode Antistasi.
Partially due to the fact that we assign our members during these events depending on playstyle (casual & serious) we enjoy this game (released in 2013) to this very day.

Mordhau

In May 2019 we decided to add Mordhau to our list of official games as we thought a bit of quality medieval bashing would do us good.
Due to the clan scene having slowly decayed we decided to leave it behind us and move on without Mordhau.

Mound&Blade Bannerlord

We have many members who enjoyed the previous M&B games and are keen to enjoy a good and long-lasting time in M&B Bannerlord.
We host regular, casual clan-internal and competetive clan vs. clan events. We are also planning on joining weekly large scale clan vs. clan events,
once they are availible.

Directed towards other clans

If you are interested in clan vs. clan battles we would be very happy to get in contact with you to organize something.
Feel free to join our Discord Server in order to establish contact with us.

The 105ths members and I are very much looking forward to meeting you on our Discord server: Until then,

John

News Update:

Our first official Bannerlord event is due to take place on the 12th of April and will most likely take place every Sunday 18:00-20:00 british time.
We are also in the process of creating our ingame role system to account for people who prefer playing as cavalry, archers, etc.
Once our community has settled into the game we will start looking to host/join clan vs. clan events.

Best regards,
John

News Update:

We have just finished developing our role system and will start using it in our first official event on the 12th of April 2020.
These are the 4 roles that are currently used by the 105th Regiment (changes are sure to happen):

Infantry (Gained by attending the basic training):
This role is the heart of every fight and specialises in capturing and holding chokepoints and objectives.
Infantrymen have to master the art of discipline, staying in their formation and supporitng the man to their left and right above all else.

Ranged (Requires additional training to unlock):
This role puts the enemy under pressure by firing volley after volley upon them and forcing them to make a move.
In the field archers use the infantrymen as a shield behind which they can hide from enemy melee units.

Cavalry (Requires additional training to unlock):
This role specialises in flanking enemy units and picking off enemies who have strayed from their formations.
While Archers and Infantrymen are lead by the same leader, cavalrymen have a dedicated cavalryman leading them.

Artillery (Requires additional training to unlock):
This role makes enemy walls go boom, BIG BOOM.

Best regards,
John

News Update:

Yesterday we had our first event on M&B Bannerlord. We went on an official server and played siege. It was a bit of a hassle to get everyone in one server due to the fact that there were no EU siege servers to be found in the server browser and that the maximum amount of people allowed in a party are 6. Nonetheless we figured out a way to do it, as always. We had a lot of fun playing with our squad based system, charging and then holding objective after objective side by side.

We are very much looking forward to next weeks Sunday Bannerlord event.

Best regards,
John

News Update:

We just finished our second M&B Bannerlord event, which went very well. We are getting better and better at formations and our experience in teamplay is very clear to see when we are in battle. We utilized the shieldwall formation quite a lot and even had some random players join in.
Although we experienced two server crashes and some of our guys crashing, it was mostly flawless.

I recorded the event and will post the uploaded footage as a reply to this thread once I've finished cutting/editing it.

Best regards,
John

News Update:

During the first hour of todays Bannerlord event we played captain mode against the Kingdom of Vlandia.
We got absolutely clapped by them but it was still good fun and we're looking forward to including more clan v. clan fights in our official events.
As captain mode restricted us to 6 people being able to play along, we decided to play siege during the second hour, so all of us could get some action.
I seperated tonights event into two videos and will post links to them in this thread once they're uploaded.

For now here's the captain mode footage:

Best regards,
John

Hello! It's Kingdom of Vlandia ;P

I split the recording of the event we had on 17.05.2020 into two videos:

The first half of the event consisted of us playing Captain mode against each other:

During the second half of the event we played Siege.
We played one game in the same team and one game split up into two teams:

Hello again,

Another week, another Bannerlord event. We played against KoV during the first hour of our event again, which was very enjoyable. During the second hour, as always, we played Siege. Here ya go, hope you enjoy:

Best regards,
John

Another week has passed and we started into yesterdays event with some new members. We played one hour of captain mode against each other 5 v. 5 and followed it up with an hour of Siege 5 v. 6 on a public server. Next week we will be playing against another clan during the captain mode phase of the event and we're looking very much forward to it.

This week we were planning on playing captain mode against another clan during the first hour of our event. Unfortunately the other clan didn't show up, so we played captain mode but clan internal instead of clan v. clan. During the second hour we managed to get all of us into the same Siege Server and on the same team. ENJOY

News Update:

We are back! After a long brake from Bannerlord we are finally looking towards the bright future the M&B Bannerlord Sword&Musket mod will bring with it.
Having started out as an Infantry Regiment of the Line, we can't wait to finally rejoin the Napoleonic Wars. We will most likely turn Bannerlord into one of our weekly official events again, once the mod is fully released. We are looking forward to weekly trainings and large scale battles with and against old friends and new alike.
