The 1tes is actively searching for active, mature, and loyal members. If you wish to join our ranks then please apply on our website, which can be found HERE. We are not just a linebattle community but we are a group of friends who play various games. Code of Conduct

The 3 core parts of how you should present yourself on or off the battlefield. All members are required to abide by these principles. By joining you agree that you have read these rules, failure to follow them will result in termination from the 1tes.

1. Respect - Show the highest of respect to other players and encourage teamwork. Always typing in a "GG" and saying "Good fight" are good ways to reflect the regiment. You wear our tags so keep the high standard.

2. Retaliation - Members are never to retaliate, regardless of the extremity of the offense you must never revenge teamkill or type rude or offensive chat material toward others. It's plain sloppy and is the lowest thing a member can do.

3. Discipline - Members are to remain quiet unless asked for information during a battle. We expect them to never belay officer/NCO orders and to willingly follow your comrades into death! It's the life of a Napoleonic infantryman!

Rankings

Rankings are a unique system to track our users progress in the community. Starting at Unteroffiziere you gain officer status and may lead in combat. We ask that you never beg/ask for ranks and accept what you get. We aim to be a mature and fun community that encourages hard work if you wish to gain status in the regiment. The ranks are listed below with descriptions.

History
Silesia has historically been a minority in Europe near Poland, Germans being the minority of settlers in the area, the province lie under Austrian control until 1742 when Silesia was claimed by King Frederick the Great in the War of Austrian Secession. During the Napoleonic Wars most of the region was under Prussian control, upon Napoleon's 100 days during the Prussian army reorganization the 1st proper infantry regiment was raised from Silesia. They were in the elite first 12 regiments known as Nr 10, the next 12 regiment's were reserve, the rest being miscellaneous units being organized such as Lutzow's Freikorps and the Russiche-Deustch Legion. The rest of the army being based off the Austrian model using Landwehr, untrained soldiers. The 1st Infantry Regiment of Silesia wore bright yellow/gold cuffs and facings, contrasting the darker Prussia provincial colors. Infantry of a Prussian regiment in 1815 included 2 musketeer battalions, 1 fusilier battalion and a Jager detachment, Freiwilge or Shutzen, the 10th used a Freiwildge or volunteer sharpshooter detachment. The 10th formed part of von Hacke's 13th Brigade in Bulow's IV Corps. Bulow's troops did not fight at Ligny as they didn't arrive in time, but they were the first substantuial body of Prussians to arrive on the field of Waterloo and were heavily engaged in the battle for Plancenoit.

Tactics & Strategy
At the beginning of this period, the battalions of the Prussian Line usually fought in a linear formation three ranks deep, overwhelming the enemy with fire before a well-timed bayonet attack. By the end, the preferred formation was eight to 12 ranks deep. The responsibility for conducting the fire-fight was now given to the skirmish elements and the artillery. The formed battalions provided support for the fire line, and conducted the decisive bayonet charge. Whatever the change, the spirit and ability of the infantry remained consistently high throughout this bloody period.

The Battle: Plancenoit

The first Prussian corps to arrive was Bülow's IV Corps. The 10th being part of the the IV corps was directly invovled in the fighting. Blucher's objective was Plancenoit, which the Prussians intended to use as a springboard into the rear of the French positions. He intended to secure his right upon Frichermont using the Bois de Paris road. The fighting was intense, the first wave sent in retreated (Landwehr) and the final attack would prove the most deadly for both sides. The Prussians threw themselves at the French, a historian noted that it was a slaughter above the level of Hugomount. Which may have been exaggerated but the Prussians took heavy loses to the veteran French troops who too, lost almost everything. It was a bloody fight to say the least.

Blucher rallied his troops and attacked again - the street fighting was very bloody and every house became like besieged fort. Despite being outnumbered by margin of 2 to 1 the French (Mouton's 8 btns., Young Guard's 8 btns. and Old Guard's 2 btns.) were able to hold on for 1 hour. Pelet writes: "Though I could not collect my men (II/2nd Chaseurs), they were all well under cover and kept up a murderous fire which contained the enemy

Always good to see a Skirmisher regiment doing well. From the 13te, good luck!
Skirmishing is a helleuva fun thing to do, as fusiliers it is a secondary role however. We are a good match for the 1stBE in Pyrots.
