1 month after release 0 content change my mind

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“The price will increase as we ship new features.”
Yeah, I didn't read anything on Steam, but again, you are correct. Just as another guy who said that they were actually open for being legally sued due to false advertising, and from what I've read, that is true indeed.
Now, this last part, that is aggravating, yeah, you've changed my mind successfully, they are not part of the good spectrum of developers, they are already half-way through the greedy-pieces-of-**** spectrum (I mean, they are basically extorting buys by threatening to increase the price)

+1

At the moment there is a feeling that devs expect modders to do all the work with the new content. Because that is what is happening now. And that is what happened to Warband.

I doubt they'll add any major new things but just fix up and balance what they have now, but obviously hope I'm mistaken.
Actually it's quite strange when you think about it. What did the level designers, game/quest designer etc. Do for all these years? I know they created their own engine, but we were shown they had a working level editor quite early on so I assume they were still able to do scenes at that point.
Also why were we shown features like 3 years ago which isn't yet done (gangs) they had 3 years to fix whatever bug might have been related to these... My personal theory is this project were going nowhere and initially they had a lot more planned (Co-op being one thing), but lately decided to scrap a lot of stuff and finish up what they had somewhat working.

The only thing I fear is that at some moment in time modders will lose desire to continue what they started doing.
And without modders Bannerlord won't be as good as Warband became for it's time.

hello first im big fan of this game but,

After this long develop time, after one month 0 + content. They are balancing an unfinished game i just dont understand. Game is currently unplayable cuz nothing for play just fight, siege, defend.
They also fixed performance and crashes that was terrible the first days.

To be honest, deep down I think we all knew that something was really wrong with the development of the game. Games that encounters huge delays in development often turn out greatly underwhelming. Like I said elsewhere, Bannerlord is an Idea, a really good and ambitious idea that was born when the first M&B game came out. It's an idea and I don't think they have what it takes to take it elsewhere. It is sadly becoming clear that having an idea doesn't give you the skills /proficiency / knowledge / or work ethics to transform that idea into something tangible. It does not give you management skill required to run a project that is so ambitious either.

Those are really harsh words that are maybe not deserved, I am aware of this and I am sorry for this. That being said, TW are so inept at showing a willingness / capacity to really communicate with us that we end up making our own stories of what has been going on for the past 8-10 years. They are really not doing themselves any favors if they are hiding what really happened for the game to be so unfinished at present time. Again we are going to make our own conclusion and it often paints them the way I just did, maybe wrongly.

IMHO TW needs to come clean once and for all with their customers, they need to show us a roadmap (yes they do), a plan, or just a flipping blog simply explaining ''where do we go from here ? '' and what is to be expected for the coming months. It is REALLY not to much to ask from customers who paid the price they deemed fair of charging us.

And here is where the anger turns to sadness: It's probably not that they don't want to do all these things, it's just that....they $%#@ing cannot.

Yes, TW needs to come out and tell what plans they have for the future of the game. As of right now it is very very bland; it may be enjoyable to some, but I doubt modders like myself (and others) who have spent hundreds of hours designing and playing countless WB mods are happily playing away. There's nothing to do in this game besides fight, and tournaments are the dullest I have ever come across in years of WB mods. People are going to rake me over the coals for saying this, but this company in my estimation had no vision for what they wanted this title to be. Look at the number of times TW changed the campaign map. Village management was the best looking feature and nothing took its place. Go look at Nova Aetas mod's Smithy and tell me which one has better ideas? The thugs in the backstreet alleys: What on earth is that? How is that remotely entertaining? Reforged Viking Conquest is a much better title than this, and it just should not be.

The logic I cannot grasp: If there is more radically new content planned, why so much love for balance? New content will break that balance? Wouldn't it make more sense to bring the game on a more mature level regarding features and content, and then get started with nitty gritty balancing?

I was thinking about this too. It would be logical to add all the features and then balance. I don't understand how game development works but logically this particular point makes sense. The best thing would be to add features quickly, attract new players thanks to it and then balance to be able to launch the game definitively.

If there are no new major features this will be a complete flop in my opinion.

-Marriage bland
-tournaments bland
-smithy good heavens
-village management?
-diplomacy bland
-general atmosphere bland
-back street thugs crime business..WTH?
-no religion or any other function like it

Why should I enter any town period? TWs did nothing to improve this. They have some good looking scenes, but why walk around?

If TWs only new features are kids and siege upgrades that is gonna leave a mark.

I see right now 46.000 Players playing Bannerlord via Steam. Doom Ethernal has 3.700 / Gears Tactics 3.600 both made by big studios and new. I cant see how this is going to be a flop, its already going to be a hit and game of the year. It depends now where Taleworlds goes.

But lets not forget. We have right now a corona crysis, the devs have to sit at home, working in home office. The game is in early acces and it already got alot updates, even at the weekend when they are not suppose to work.

Its totaly fine to suggest, criticise or give feedback but In a normal and neutral way!

ITS EARLY ACCES! A game in development, its not finished and buggy. But it seems the most people are like this (especially the guy above me):

In my opinion, doesn't mean that people won't play it. I have been modding games for 20 years. This is a bland EA.

warband is a classic in spite of all bugs and weird characters and graphics

this one could have been a masterpiece but i think it will be a flop
becuase they look like working hard but after every fix they manage to break something else. They will either do so much change and make the game less ambitious or it will take so much time (like 2 years as you said) to have a stable, playable version

It will be fine. They just need to fix things up and release full modding tools, and people will mod a masterpiece out of it easily. Can even use c# this time instead of that goofy warband python stuff lol.

Its early acces it can be bland at some points still a ****ing great game already with great potential. Yes it has its flaws and could get some easy features more quickly integrated. But you talk about "Its a flop bland bland bland..." Seems like you are the 12% minority, sitting on a rage train.

85.200 Positiv Reviews - 88% Very Positive. Its a Hit and can be even more!

And modding is not developing a game or rework a whole engine.

I find it humorous that people with 100+ hours are complaining about the price.
They have 100+ hours, becouse this game has more grind then korean mmorpg. How much real time you should spend on smithing and smelting to craft something good? 50 hours?

Look at that reviews. It is "finaly" from guy with one hour. 90% of them was written before playing the game.

I've enjoyed every one of my hours (just checked, Im at 101 as of today). I quite games that have boring grinds. Seems odd to waste time like that.

I really want this game to get better. Though I'm disappointed at the moment and skeptical, I still believe in Bannerlord, hoping for better.
Maybe it won't ever meet my expectations. We'll see, when TW releases the game and first huge overhaul mods start appearing.

But I highly disagree with people, who overreact to constructive criticism towards this game in it's current state.
This game of course has more than 0 content, but still most people expected much more from EA, especially knowing that, f.e. Viking Conquest had more content/features and there are numerous mods with great ideas.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not even close to saying that TW will move in the same direction as other companies. But add to this the history of EA of other developers, who often don't add any new free content during EA, but only fix performance, bugs and crashes. And then add paid features with DLCs, which were expected to be in the game from the start, or don't add anything at all. Some developers release the full version of the game much later than they promise, some don't finish their games at all. A lot of companies had unconditional trust, but appeared to be as greedy as everyone else.
One more time, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying TW will do exactly one of those things.
But until they release the game nobody knows what to expect. Especially knowing we don't have anything like a roadmap or at least a blog, like we had before EA.
Just bare in mind that your opinion may change in a year or even earlier. Hope it will change towards good according to how game changes. But it may be vice versa.
