Resolved 1.8.0 Constant Crashes when entering menus

Summary: The game gives me a GPU error (D3D or Direct3D 11 errors) every single time I try to access a menu. Did not happen before, or at least not to this extent.
How to Reproduce: Enter any menu (inventory, party, clan...). It will crash 75% of the times.

Computer Specs:
OS: Windows 10
GPU: Nvidia GeForce gtx 1050
GPU Driver Version: 24.21.13.9836 (the latest, AFAIK)
CPU: Intel i7, 2,8GHz
RAM: 8GB
Motherboard: Dell 0MVD5F
Storage Device (HDD/SSD): the game is installed on a HDD disk.

SOLVED - it was the drivers after all.
Morale of the story: NEVER trust the Windows Device Manager when it tells you that the drivers are up to date.
