No, in the game. To reproduce simply change the camera by rotating the map or zooming out and click on the button. The expected behavior is that the map is returned to the standard rotation and the camera to the default zoom level.
Could you able to capture a video of this issue happening? I am sorry to say that I failed to understand what was going on.

You have the day and night indicator on the overland map. Showing which time of the day it is currently in the day. This indicator also doubles as a camera reset button in the game. Thus if you zoom in or out, and rotate the map you can usually simply click on this button to reset the view of the overland map to the default camera settings (rotate the map to the default heading and reset the zoom).
