I completed the "unit the empire" quest, and nothing happend. The conspiry quest vanished, but i still get conspirsy quests. And now i have to fight 3 kindoms, and the bar witch shows something is quite the riddle for me.

So what is the purpose of the quest?

It's unfinished and poorly implemented.

There is not one single benefit, not one single good result, from the dragon banner quest.

Basically, the quest only has negative consequences for you.

My rule of thumb now, is NEVER ask even one single noble about the battle. Don't start the quest. It'll time-out and fail after being uncompleted after 10 years.

there's a bug you can exploit if you keep a 1 clan kingdom with 1 settlement and don't fight wars. when it does the quest where bandits attack caravans in your territory and you have clan parties they continuously attack those parties, and those parties respawn until you kill them personally. this gives your party leaders insane skill gain

You don't have to fight those kingdoms to the death right away; they'll accept normal peace agreements and you can go back to them when you're ready. The bars I think show the strength of those kingdoms relative to the point at which you reached that stage of the quest. Success can be triggered by the kingdoms losing to others, not just your kingdom. There isn't a quest reward as such, but those kingdoms will 'give up' on completion and disappear, rather than becoming an annoying minor clan constantly at war. You can inherit settlements when they do so, if they had any left, if a non-ruling clan chooses to join your kingdom when the old kingdom is dissolved.

None , complete waste of time. There's a mod on nexus called cultured start which has a sandbox option that disables main quest..and lots more besides.

Can you expand on this/give more detail on this?

he was saying instead of fighting their bar down to 0 you can declare peace via kingdom menu or dialogue. the bar still goes down if they start getting wrecked by the khuzaits
