When you have your own kingdom, captured an enemy town, put prisoners in it´s dungeon (or one of your lords do so) and then after some time give this town to one of your lords, the enemy prisoners are set free immediately... without any ransom... allthough the war isn´t over... they are simply free.

Was this allways like this?

Are you sure they were set free and that the lord you gave the town to didn't ransom them?

Game message just say they are free. If he ransomed them, it wouldn´t make things any better because then I could have ransomed them earlier by myself. The intention of putting them into the dungeon is to NOT ransom them and take them out of business for as long as possible. When one of my lords puts prisoners into MY castles/towns, I can´t ransom theim either, or can I?

Thats just another broken game mechanic, imo.

1. If you don't want your prisoners to be ransomed, than they have to be in your party or town/castle. Beware of keeping lords prisoner in your party, they escape very fast when they aren't in a town or castle.

2. To ransom prisoners that are in your own castles or towns, go to the town menu, select "Go to the Keep", 'Go to the Dungeon", "Manage Prisoners", and then add them to your party like you would normally do after a battle.

I hardly ever want to ransom enemy lords, as I´m most often glad, they are out of business for s while. Seeking for an own town/castle in wartime, where you have to rush from hotspot to hotspot is very often no option.

But ok, if this is to be intendend, than it´s just another proof that your own lords are almost worthless. Gathering more clans under your crown has only one benefit : They don´t fight for your enemies anymore. Thats all.

This mod looks like it has only been updated to work with 1.5.6, but if you wait a bit another update might be released.
IMPORTANT: Read the description

Do you have a save before the change of lords?
Yes I do.

Decision is about Onira. Checked the scenario once more. There are 13 prisoners in the dungeon. 7 of them came free right after owner change, the message said "xy was released after battle". So it wasn´t all of the prisoners. But this may differ depending on who will be the new owner.

Savefile was uploaded.

I've been informed that this bug is fixed and the fix will be sent to the game with future patches. Thanks for reporting and sorry for any inconvenience!
